Today we started our French stop motion animation projects. We watched several stop motion animation videos that included the animation of many different objects including, clay figures paper cut-outs, lego, stuffed animals, erasers and even people doing the impossible. Students were introduced to using a story board to plan out their animations. In the coming weeks students will learn several tips and techniques to create realistic animations as they begin their productions. I look forward to seeing the students creativity at work. We also continued graphing linear equations in all four quadrants. |
- Field Trip Form: Film Festival Next Thursday!
- Math: graph 4 equations using the values -5 to +5 for X
- X+3=Y, X-2=Y, -1X=Y, X/2=Y Challenge Equation: Xsquared - 2=Y
- French animation script due tomorrow (See assignments section for project details)
- While learning to use a story board to plan a video we learned about cut-scenes. On the story board you need to make a new board for each cut-scene. The above story board has room for 4 scenes.
- Watch the 3 animations below and count the number of cut scenes in each. Post the name of the film and the number of scenes you counted and then answer the following question:
- Why is it important to have story board with every cut-scene on it? List several ways this will help when you are filming?
