When learning something new, a good way to understand and make your own opinions on it is through a way called synthesis.

Firstly, synthesis is simply just putting information together. When you combine the new information with the old information to make some new information, it's called synthesizing.

To synthesize information, you'll have to gather up information you learned on the topic and put it together with the knowledge you all ready know about the topic. When you put the two information together, you'll have a brand new understanding of that topic.

Synthesizing information is easy and we do it everyday. It's a great way to understand a piece of information better.

What I understand about synthesizing is putting all the information together and combining it in order to create something new. For example, If I need to talk about pollution, first I will read an article or watch a video about pollution.
What ever information I gathered it will help me to make my own thoughts about the topic.
Synthesizing information will be helpful when you are doing your research or investigating something.

You need a topic sentence.

Your third sentence doesn't much sense.

I think you should split "For example" from "something new." to make it easier to read and to add a bit more detail.

Today I will explain what synthesize means. There will be 3 sentences of what synthesizing means. I will explain what this awesome word means.

Synthesizing means you can speak information from your topic without using your information sheet. One example I can give is that if you where reading a book, you can tell your parents, teachers or friends what it is about. If I asked a question "how do birds fly" and I read a book about birds I can respond without checking the bird book and answer by using my memory. I think this method of gathering information is awesome.

I think synthesizing is a good way to process information. It is a very easy way to process information and talk about your topic's.

Alex

Have you ever heard of something called synthesize? Well, synthesize is where your brain gets information and combines it with the information you already know to create an answer or just one whole thing.

An example would be that you know there is a new game out and you want to try it. You search what it is about, you see good reviews about the game, and you know you like the game company, but your friend says it's bad. To get the answer, (whether u get the game or not) your brain synthesizes. You think by combining the information you already have and what you have heard and/or read. You decide to delete download the game because you read the good reviews agree to them and you feel like your friend was capping. You also know that the games are made by the company you like.

Synthesizing is an astonishing way to get answers and get the best information u can for projects.

Chloe (Feedback)

Make sure you put you instead of u and for the first paragraph I think it's supposed to be synthesis instead of synthesize (though I am not 100% sure). Overall good job!

I think you should say synthesis instead of synthesize in the first and second sentences because it doesn't make much sense.

Chloe

Synthesis is something that happens naturally in everyday life. You may have never heard of synthesis before, but you have most likely done it at least once.

You may be wondering, what is synthesis? Well, synthesis is when you put things together in your head to form an opinion. For example, you may be wondering if penguins can fly. You can use information you have learned and information that you might hear from someone else to form your own opinion. Maybe you know that penguin’s wings are small and probably won’t be able to support them, and you remember someone telling you they have heavy bones that make it hard for them to stay in the air. You can put this information together and come to the conclusion that penguins can’t fly.

This is one example of a synthesis. Know that you know what it is, synthesizing can help you learn new things and make your own opinions. Hopefully this helps you in the future!

Synthesis is something that happens naturally in everyday life. You may have never heard of this word before, but I can guarantee you have done it at least once.

You may be wondering, what is synthesis? Well, synthesis is when you put different bits of information together in your head to form an opinion. For example, you may be wondering if penguins can fly. You can use things you already know and information that you might hear from someone else to form your own opinion. Maybe you know that penguin’s wings are small and probably won’t be able to support them, and you remember someone telling you they have heavy bones that make it hard for them to stay in the air. You may not know what synthesize means, but we do it every day. To synthesize means to use background information and come up with an opinion of your own.

As an example, a bag of candy at the store. Your friend tells you it tastes bad, but you like the company and most of it is sold already. You come up with your own thoughts, based on the information you already know. So, you could either trust your friend who has similar taste to you, or the company you know makes good candy to your liking. You come to the conclusion that you should buy the candy, because of your own background knowledge.

Now that you know what it means, you also know we do this everyday. This is a great tool to use for learning new information and creating notes with your own words and thoughts. I hope this can help you with research and opinions, and maybe mine too.

You may not know what synthesize means, but it is something we do everyday to form an opinion of our own. To synthesize means to use background information and combine it with other people's opinions to form something of your own.

For example, there is a bag of candy at the corner shop. Your friend tells you it tastes bad, but you have had a goid experience with the candy company it is by. Most of the candy is also sold, and there are only a few left in stock. You come up with a conclusion based on your friends opinion and the information you already know. So, you could either buy the candy trusting the amount of people that bought it and the company, or your friend who has similar taste to you. You come down to a decision, whether you will buy it or not.

Now that you know what synthesis means, you can also apply it to your research skills and to come up with notes in your own words and thoughts. I hope this will help you with your note taking, and mine too.

There's a word for putting together information from different sources. It's called synthesis.

You have synthesized before many times in your life and one of the most common times you synthesize is during a project. Let's say the project was why plastic is bad for the ocean. Well you probably already have some background knowledge as to why it pollutes the ocean but you decide to search it up anyways. You search it up and it says that it makes the water dirty and pollutes it so any fish in that area will die from the water not being clean. You also had background knowledge though and since you know that plastic can break down and turn into little plastic particles that can go into a fish and kill it, you can put both information together to create one opinion. You write down "plastic can pollute water and makes the ocean dirty so that organisms cannot survive. It is also dangerous since the plastic can turn into particles and enter the fish's body." While you write that down you noticed something. By synthesizing and using your background knowledge you notice that we eat fish and so if we eat fish that is dirty and has plastic in them, it won't be good for us either. Now you have created another opinion by fusing the information together.

That's basically what synthesis is and you use it a lot more than you think you do. The example I showed was just one of the thousands of ways you can synthesize. Now you know how to synthesize, you will be able to research easier and faster.

I think your response is great. But one thing you could do is make your topic sentence more engaging. I wasn't that interested when I read the first sentence. Also, in your last sentence it might be better to fix the grammar and add "that" after the "now" so the following words make more sense.

Synthesizing. Meaning, putting things together in your head and combining it with things you already know and making or finding an answer from it. This happens naturally in daily life every day, for all of us.in work, in class and even in converstations.

An example is when you hear that a new “Fantastic beasts and where to find them "comes out and all of your friends say it’s the worst movie in the world. But on a review online rate a 4.5. You (I) know that you love (Or not) the wizarding world from fantastic beasts, but you also know that it’s the same series as Harry Potter and you are a big fan of Harry Potter(which I am). Depending on whether you like the Wizarding world sieries you can combine it with the information you have and either watch it or not.

With all the new information you get and the information's you already have, you can get an opinion answer on either you want to do something or deciding on what you like or dislike. By synthesizing, you can not only get awesome opinion writing and assignments in school but make decisions in life!

What is Synthesis?

So Synthesis is when we using our brain for make opinion
Example we talk to our friend about some game and we like that game but don't really interested the gameplay and we make ourselves opinion about that game
We don't have to remember all of the notes but we can make it unique with make the notes with our word and it more easier for us to remember
Synthesis is when you get information and your brain make it easier with your word

Diana

Don't forget about punctuations. For the first sentence of your paragraph I think you should write "So synthesis is when we use our brain for making opinions." instead of "So Synthesis is when we using our brain for make opinion"

Zara

Although you may not know what it means, every day you do something we call synthesizing. To synthesize is to use background knowledge and new information to create an opinion that, eventually, leads to an action.

For example, let's say you find a new book at the library. The reviews are positive, but you remember reading a book by the same author that you thought was horrible. Using the new information (the reviews) and combining it with background knowledge (your opinion on the creator), you can conclude whether to purchase the book or not.

This is simply one example of a synthesis, and you will see many more. Being able to recognize synthesizing means you can create your own synthesis easily!

Nadine

Today in inquiry, I learned a form of analysis called synthesis. At first, I didn’t know what synthesis was, until I learned the meaning and details today in class. You have probably synthesized prior times in your life, and so do I. Synthesis is bringing two or more things together in your head. It’s like combining information you already know and information you have found to create something new.

Let’s do an example. You read a review about the new live-action little mermaid movie. Although you heard from a friend that it was a good experience, and it was fun to watch. You collect both data and form an opinion based on what you know. In my opinion, the first movie was marvelous, and it doesn’t need a sequel. So, I may dislike the movie, but I decide to watch it sometime. The example shows what you call synthesis, putting things together in your head to create something new. What other examples can you make?

Now, I know that synthesizing can benefit much more detailed information than just adding information you previously found on the internet. So, if you synthesized in your writing, I am sure that it will be an astounding piece.

Sam

Here is a quick tip to indent your paragraphs. You should also post at least two examples.

Sam
10/24/2022 09:24:02 pm

The brain is very complicated. To make good judgements or opinions , you have to synthesize. To synthesize means to use new data and combine it with background knowledge to make an (usually) accurate judgement or opinion.

For example, let's say, that you are trying to decide whether to go to the bad guys movie in the gym, your friend said that it is good and it is also completely free, however you disliked previous movies from the same brand you can make a good decision about it. Another example is that when you want to choose to do your conference at school or at home, you know that at home, it would be more convenient for you, but at school you can show your parents where everything is, combined with the knowledge that Laurier is the best Elementary school in the Lower Mainland and it is very tidy and clean, you can make a good choice on what to do. One last example is that you want to go biking in the Laurier field but is raining, you know that when it is raining it usually makes a lot of mud, so your bike might get dirty. A good judgement in this case is not go biking because then your bike will probably slip and/or get dirty.

To summarize, to synthesize means to use new data and combine it with background knowledge to make good judgements and decisions!

Have you ever heard the word “synthesis” ? Do you know what that means in inquiry? If not, don’t worry because I’m gonna tell you what it actually means and I will even give you an example.

Synthesis means when you combine all your information together in your brain to form an answer or an opinion. For example, you’re watching a video about a crocodile eating a big shark. You are probably wondering can a crocodile possibly eat a shark. Then, you may think about the information you have already known about sharks and crocodiles such as “ they do not live in the same habitat, crocodile cannot survive in the ocean, sharks swim way more faster that crocodiles, etc…” After that, you combine all your information together and then form an opinion by saying you don’t think a crocodile can swallow a giant shark.

Synthesis always helps you because it lets you to use your brain and create an opinion. I hope this can help you in your future.

Emily. C
10/24/2022 10:41:07 pm

What is synthesis, and how would you synthesize? It’s very simple, you even do it on a daily basis. Some things may even be as small as a friend telling you a book is good, while the other may disagree. Then you would read the book yourself to see in your opinion if it was really good or bad. In other words, putting things together in your head. Another example could be when your doing a presentation. During a presentation you would try to talk about what you’ve learned and not what you’ve researched. Meaning that you would have taken new knowledge and put it together with your other bits of memory you have of this one particular thing which ends up combining with each other to form a new memory that you will now have forever. This is an example of synthesizing, but as well as forming your own opinions. Synthesizing is very important and will help you throughout your life. You may not realize your doing it, but you are and it helps you alit with everything you need to do.

Hi today i am going to explain to you 3 things about what synthesize.is.

Synthesizing is putting things together in your head and making an opinion on it based on the stuff that you already know.

Another thing on synthesizing is that it is also basically combining information to create something new.

The last thing on synthesizing is that it is a unique way of coming up with opinions.

This is 3 stuff about synthesis.

Alice
10/25/2022 01:37:40 am

What’s synthesizing? you’d be surprised that you do it practically every day.

It’s simply a combination of a few opinions to complete your decision or even a theory. For example, someone tells me that the new Peppa pig episode is entertaining, and another says it was so boring they fell asleep. You would take this information, process or synthesis it and make your decision either to watch it or not.

In conclusion, others' opinions may help you find the best answers. Synthesizing occurs naturally and helps you make wiser decisions.

jahan

synthesizing is where you put things together in your head and I'll be telling you a 3 things about what they mean/do.

lets say you haven't ate broccoli in your life but your friend tells you not to because its disgusting. Then your other friend says to try it because its healthy and amazing. Then you will put this information in your head to see if you want to try broccoli or not.

Synthesizing is when you take information about what an other person said about something then you hear about the same thing but in a different opinion and make a decision if you want to do that or not

Kiran
10/25/2022 07:51:08 am

Have you ever heard of "Synthesis"? Today I will tell you about what "Synthesis" is.

If you have not watched the new Black Adam movie and all your friends say it sucks but the internet says it is good, you will put all the information together form an opinion, this is called synthesizing.

Synthesis is when you put all your thoughts together to create something new and unique.

Sophie
10/25/2022 08:38:51 am

Have you ever heard of synthesizing? It’s a great way to take your learning and come up with your own ideas. Synthesizing means using the information you already know, putting it into your head, thinking about it, and coming up with new opinions, guesses, and thoughts. It also helps with remembering what you learn, so you can effectively research and knowledge won’t go through one ear and out the other.

Max
10/25/2022 03:28:30 pm

Making a decision can be easily or hard, sometimes it's easily as thinking and sometimes it's hard even impossible to make a decision, that's why people use a process called synthesizing.

Synthesizing is where you take new information and your background knowledge to make a decision occurring in your brain and thoughts. For example, choosing between whether to watch the new Jim Carrey movie 'Dog.' When you asked your friend who watch it their rating they said it was bad, but you know that Jim Carrey makes great movies and you use this information along with new ones to make a decision.

Synthesis is a very important process in life to use while you may not know, you are using it every day to make everday decisions.

Haydee
10/25/2022 04:43:25 pm

What does it mean to synthesize something? Well, you’re about to find out!

To synthesize something, it means that your brain is processing information that you’ve read or heard about. Then you use the information you have to form an opinion of your own. For example, I’ve heard from a friend that Percy Jackson movies are not the best. But I also know that I love Percy Jackson books and that I like watching movies. So then, I decide to wait until my other friends also watched the movie so that I can have different feedback on the movie.

That is called synthesizing. Does it sound familiar? It does, doesn’t it? You do it every day in your life!

Hayley

Synthesizing sounds like something hard to do. But believe or not, you synthesize almost all the time without realizing it! Synthesizing is the process of putting things together in your head to form something new. Usually you take a piece of information and combine it with your background information to make an opinion, guess, hypothesis, or a decision. Synthesizing is an important part of our lives. For example, a few days ago we watched a video about flying penguins. After the video, we were asked whether or not this was a real or fake video. This is where we all started to synthesize. Our background information tells us that penguins can't fly. The new piece of information argues that if penguins have wings they should be able to fly. We put the two together and made our decision. Yes, penguins can fly, or no, penguins can't fly.
Synthesizing is important and helps us in our everyday life.

Haydee
10/25/2022 04:59:31 pm

@Hayely- That's amazing! But maybe you could add a paragraph for the topic sentences that you wrote?

Aryah
10/25/2022 09:52:31 pm

Have you ever wondered what synthesize means? I just learned it and I think it is a useful word.

Synthesizing information means to put two or more pieces of information together to make one thought. For example, you are reading articles on the news app and see that there is a new Spider Man movie coming out that is supposedly incredibly good. You ask your friends to go watch it with you, but they say no because they have already watched it and said it was a bad movie. You know that your friends do not think it is a good movie, but the news article says that it is good. You decide to wait until you can see it on Netflix. Getting the information is the only way to start synthesizing. It can help you make decisions or figure more things out about a subject.

Synthesizing is a great way to help you at school or at home, anywhere.
