Today students participated in their first chemistry lab. They learned about particle theory and then tested the dissolving speed of salt in different temperature waters. After, they made connections between particle theory and the results. Students also had a very important lesson on cyber bullying which focussed on empathy by taking on the perspective of other people. It is very important that students continue to learn about safe and kind online behaviour as they move into high school and adulthood.

Today, after learning how and why to empathize, I think the big idea of the lesson is to empathize others before you share something online. I think that's the big idea because we discussed different perspectives and what they should've done instead of what they did was wrong. Another reason why is because we had a talk where you should always be careful of what you do and think of how the other person would feel. This lesson is something that taught us how we should be mindful of our actions.

Today, we learned how cyberbullying can affect others lives. I think the big idea of today's lesson was you have to think about what you're doing first, and empathize/look at other people's perspective. In addition, I think the big idea from our previous lesson was to be aware of what your posting, doing and saying online because it'll stay there forever. Not only that, but in can affect your life in the future. We should be paying attention to these lessons and keep them in mind.

I think you can get rid of look. You can also say “be aware of your posting, because what you post would stay there forever.” Instead.

For the past week we have been learning about cyber bullying and how to leave a positive digital footprint. I think the big idea of todays lesson was to be able to emphasize with a group of people involved in cyber bullying. We learned to be careful about what we post online because what we post will always be there. It’s important for everyone to learn about what cyber bullying is, and how to leave a positive digital tattoo.

“Your bad! Your dogwater! That’s sad,” someone said in the chat. Being the server host, I typed, “Hey. That’s not nice. Don’t do that again.” to maintain the rule of being kind to each other. Seconds later, that same person said, “I don’t care lol,” so I banned him from the server. This is an example of cyberbullying, which is becoming more and more common due to the widespread of social media. People post harmful messages about different things online. Well, today I will be talking about the BIG IDEA of the past lessons on digital tattoos, and cyberbullying.

I think the BIG IDEA of these lessons are that people should be careful of they’re actions online. This is because online actions are permanent, and they can easily be traced and found. For example, a digital footprint is linked to the IP address of a device, which shows all the online actions and where in the real world those actions are made. Also, when one is applying for a job, their digital tattoo may ruin their chances of getting hired. To illustrate, a negative message someone posts can be saved and exposed to his employer when he is applying for a job. Finally, cyberbullying can result in a bad reputation and may lead to depression, social anxiety, even suicide. For example, when someone’s weaknesses and negative information are widespread throughout the internet, he would be laughed at and humiliated. So he wouldn’t want to communicate with others, he would close off from the outside world, becoming depressed, and lose even more friends. Hence, his social life would be completely ruined. Therefore, digital footprints are very powerful, so people need to be aware of their online actions.

After banning the person from the server, there was a lot of controversy. The bully’s friends argued that the bully shouldn’t have been banned from the server, but the majority, including me, held a strong opinion that the bully wasn’t following the server rules, and cyberbullying was unacceptable in this server, so he had to be discarded. Today, when people see cases of cyberbullying, they should take a stand and stand up against the bully. Also, the bullies should apologise and never do cyberbullying again. Therefore, the BIG IDEA of the digital citizen lessons is that people should be careful of their online actions.

This week we learned about digital footprints and cyber bullying. I think the big idea is we should be careful what we send online. Every time we send something It gets added to our digital portfolio, and everything we do online can be traced. For example people found photos of our prime minister Justin Trudeau dressing up as a black person in a costume party many years ago. This caused a lot of drama during halloween, and caused Justin Trudeau to issue an apology. What we post online will always be there so before posting anything, think about it first. Because things you say online can always get traced and it might affect others or even yourself in a negative way.

This week, we learned about digital footprint/tattoo and cyberbullying. I think the big idea of these lessons is to be careful what we do, post, or send online. Everything you do online can be traced back to you and it might affect your later life, using maybe an IP address. There is also cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a way of posting something about a person without their consent and making them uncomfortable. Cyberbullying might affect their entire life if someone posts something mean about them, because the person won't forget the incident for the rest of their lives. When we do something online, you have to think first, "Will this create a positive or negative affect on me or other people?"

This week my class and I have learned about cyberbulling and our digital foot printas well as the how it can affect people. I think the big idea is to be careful of what you post online and who you show things to. The reason for this is because somthing you do in highschool can affect your future like when your trying to get a job. So next time you post somthing think if it will affect you and other people in a negitive or positive way

Social media has spread rapidly, and almost everyone uses it. If you ask around, barely anybody says they don’t use it. While this is a cool and revolutionary way of communicating quickly, bad qualities come along too. For example, cyber bullying. Did you know there’s a thing called a digital footprint/tattoo? It is a cloud of what you have sent over text, photos you may have sent to friends, and so much more. It may not seem like something that can ruin your life, but if you have a bad record then you might have your digital footprints checked for a job interview then get banned. A lot of young people like me these days like to use social media to interact with friends! But you can contact almost anybody, even complete strangers, online too! So somebody who you don’t even know could bully you. Please do not bully anyone online, because you will get punished in the future for it by making you lose your job and so much more.

Have you ever heard of the term "digital footprint" or "digital tattoo"? Nowadays, most people probably have. However, even if the majority of people have heard of the term, many people still don't know how important it is to be a good digital citizen, and how this can impact your life both positively and negatively. This is why we have been learning about digital citizenship now, while it is still early in our lives.

I think that the big idea of these two lessons was to teach us to be aware of all our actions online. In the first lesson, we were taught all about digital footprints and invisible audiences, and how what you post/send online can impact your life greatly in the future. For example, when Iliana was talking to an anonymous friend on a chat app, she told them the truth about her food blog. She thought it wouldn't matter what she said, but the person took a screenshot and sent it to the show. This could impact their choice significantly, all because of two messages she sent.

The second lesson taught us about cyberbullying. This also relates to the big idea in many ways. To illustrate this, in the scenario we were given, Jose showed Kevin's video to Max without asking Kevin for permission. He just thought that the video was funny and that Max would probably enjoy watching it as well. However, Max ended up posting the video on a public website, where it got many negative comments. Kevin must've been so embarrassed, devastated, and hurt, but Max and Jose didn't even know. This all happened because they didn't empathize with Kevin before doing what they did. It will have a huge negative impact on Kevin's life for many, many years.

This is why it is so important to be aware of what you are doing online, whether it's posting a video, sending a message to a friend, or anything else, because it will stay there forever in your digital footprint and may make a big change in your or someone else's life. If you start being a good digital citizen now, it will help you in the future.

oops i wrote way too much! lol xD

I think the big idea is to think about what you are about to do before you hurt someones feelings, because cyberbullying or just normal bullying can effect the rest of that person's life.

In these two lessons, we learned about cyberbullying and digital footprints. I think the big idea is we always have to think about what are we about to do on the internet cause bullying is not fun and will affect people's emotions or the rest of their life.

Kason

Moreover, we should never post anything that's bad and be a good digital citizenship.

We learned about cyber bullying and how it can effect how people feel so I’m going to give you an example “hey you suck” or “hey you smell like feet cheese” or maybe “ you are horrible at this game” Cyberbullying is when someone bullies you online by using negative words that can effect someone’s day cyberbullying sometimes can lead to depression anger or even suicide this is what I think cyber bullying is.

cyberbullying is bad. it is bad because it can have a very negative impact on someones life. when i say negative i mean really negative. for example if someone gets called fat online it can make them feel like they're fat for the rest of their life

Today, we learned about cyber bullying and how it affects others and how to stop it. I think the big idea of today's lesson was to think about how the person will feel it you post something rude about them and empathize/look at other people's perspective. In addition, I think the big idea from our previous lesson was to be aware of what your posting, because first, you will hurt them and also it will stay there forever and will affect your future and be part of your reputation. We should be paying attention to these lessons and keep them in mind.

Having your friend’s contacts are very convenient. You can text them whenever. But some people use social media in the wrong way.
Cyber bullying. Whenever you use your device, you create a digital footprint or digital tattoo. Whatever you search up, send a picture or make a comment, you create a foot print. Posting images without someone’s consent can really ruin someone’s life. I think the big idea is that what we send online can have an impact on our lives. So think before you post anything online.

We took two special lessons this week about cyber bullying and digital footprint. When I am taking these lessons I noticed that this kind of things happens around me many times, and it is very common now. Many people post things that are very harmful to people, for example the “n word “ and many other inappropriate language. These words would offend others so munch and people don’t even notice. So we should be careful with whatever we post online because it will effect your future!

Today we learned about sober bullying and digital foot print. I think that the big ideas is that you should always double check before you post something online. You might be being rude or hurting someone’s feeling. And cyber bullying is when someone uses negative comments to you. If someone does negative stuff to you can inform to a older person that you trust and they might help you. And if you use negative comments to other people you should stop you might be ruining someone’s day and hurt their feeling.

The other day we learned about cyber bullying at school. Cyber bullying is to use digital devices, sites, and apps to intimidate, harm, or upset someone. Combating this issue is usually not easy. It takes a whistleblower to inform people of the victim. But the problem is no one want to be the whistleblower. Other than the whistleblower, we have the allies, these people can help encourage or support the victim, but not necessarily talk about the issue openly. So what we have to do is have more whistleblowers.

We learned about cyber bullying last week and we learned quite a lot from it. I think that the big idea about this topic is that you should know what the other person is feeling and what they’re going through. You can do anything and it can have a big impact on the other person. There is a possibility that it could even change their life with only one click! So you have to be aware of what you’re posting or saying on social media. It can have a huge impact on others and it can even change your whole entire life.

The internet is a great place for people to find information, share pictures and videos, and stay connected. Despite almost everyone using it, a lot of people don’t know the things that come along. We learnt about some of these things in our digital citizenship lessons. I think the big idea from those lessons are be careful of what you do online.
Do you know what a digital footprint/tattoo is? Basically, it’s a dossier that includes everything you’ve done online, from online purchases to what you post/say on the internet. That’s right. Everything you’ve ever searched or done online could be retraced and found, and that adds to your reputation. If you said a mean thing, it could be found and add to you reputation. Be careful of what you do online, because it can sometimes come and bite you back.
Another thing we learnt is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying can come in many forms, from posting something without the person’s consent with the intent of making fun of them, to posting death threats and hate comments. Think about the person you’re cyber bullying might feel. Your comment might be the breaking point for them, and you don’t want to be the cause of that, right? If whatever you said was tracked down, your reputation would be destroyed.
This is why you should be careful of everything you say on the internet. What you say might affect someone’s life, and it could all be tracked down.

We learned about cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is bad because it hurts peoples feelings. Lets just say someone calls someone else fat or something else like calling them names. It can really hurt someones feelings. Cyber bullying is bad to because it will leave a digital foot print. If you do not know what that is, it is when you do something bad or bully someone and post it online. It will make people think that you are a bad person. Then people will dislike you then you will lose followers. After all that happens you could get fired from your job. If you need a job they wont hire you because you have a bad reputation of your self. After you wont get a job because people do not want bullys or racist people to work for them. Thats why cyber bullying i super bad to do
