The order of operations is the rule you use when solving equations/expressions. It is the order you use to solve the equation by. BEDMAS is the term used to remember the order, each letter standing for something.
B: brackets
E: exponents
D: division
M: multiplication
A: addition
S: subtraction
PEMDAS is also another way to remember the order. BEDMAS and PEMDAS are different because PEMDAS uses the the more mathematical term for brackets which is parentheses and multiplication comes before division. When solving an equation/expression, you look at the left and if there is division before multiplication you do it in that order, same with having multiplication in front of division. This applies for addition and subtraction too. To remember the order of operations you can remember these phrases. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, Big Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails, and Pink Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails

The order of operations is a rule to help you solve equations. For instance the equation "3+4x5" can be 35 or 23. But BEDMAS is an order to help you know what numbers to do first or last.
BEDMAS stands for:
B: brackets
E:exponents
D:division
M: multiplication
A: addition
S: subtraction
The difference between BEDMAS and PEMDAS is that the p is parenthesis which is the same as brackets, and m and d are flipped.

Order of Operations

What is the order of operations? Order of operations is the rule to help you solve a math problem. So 3+2x7 could be 35 or 17. Only one is correct according to the rules of the order of operations. The order of operations helps you get the right answer when there is a question like that. BEDMAS is a way to remember how to do the math in the correct order. What does it stand for?
B - Brackets E - Exponents D - Division M - Multiplication A - Addition S - Subtraction.
You might have also heard of PEMDAS before. So what is the difference between BEDMAS and PEMDAS? The difference between them is that PEMDAS uses the mathematical term for brackets which is parentheses and the multiplication and division are flipped. To remember the order of operations you can use these sayings or make up your own. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Big Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails. Pink Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails.

The order of operations is a rule for solving certain equations involving different symbols. Bedmas itself stands for:

B- brackets
E- exponents
D- division
M- multiplication
A- addition
S- subtraction

PEDMAS:

P- parenthesis
E- exponents
M- multiplication
D- division
A- addition
S- subtraction

If remembering this seems like a bit of a challenge try to memorize/remember this phrase: Please excuse my dear aunt sally and the big elephants destroy mice and snails.

The order of operations are the steps to solving a math problem.

BEDMAS stands for:
B-Brackets
E-Exponents
D-Division
M-Multiplication
A-Addition
S-Subtraction

The difference between BEDMAS and PEMDAS is (I'm going to show you what PEMDAS means so you can see the difference yourself!):
P-Parenthesis
E-Exponents
M-Multiplication
D-Division
A-Addition
S-Subtraction

To remember these statements, memorize: (For PEMDAS) Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally (For BEDMAS) Big Elephants Destroy Mice And Snails.

Orders of operations are the order you solve the question when there are mixed signs in it.

BEDMAS stands for
B Brackets
E exponents
D division
M multiplication
A addition
S subtraction

I tried Googling what PEMDAS means but I still have no idea

I think remembering BEDMAS is already a good way to remember the order of operations.

The order of operations is an important rule when solving math equations. It is the order that you calculate the numbers in an equation.

For example, if you have the an equation like this: 3 x 6 + (4 - 2)2- 3
This equation can have many answers but the correct one is 19. An easy way to remember the order of operations is by using the acronym BEDMAS. This stand for:

B-Brackets
E-Exponents
D-Division
M-Multiplication
A-Addition
S-Subtraction.

You may also be familiar with PEMDAS. This is the same as BEDMAS except brackets is given a fancier name, parentheses. Fun ways to learn both these acronyms and the order of operations are by remembering short phrases that start with the first letter of each of the math techniques. Here are some examples:

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.
Big Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails.
Pink Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails.

The order of operations is a bunch of rules that define the order on which things go while evaluating a mathematical expression.

BEDMAS stands for Brackets then Exponents then Division/Multiplication then Addition/Subtraction.

BEDMAS stands for Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction. PEMDAS stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction. They are the exact same rules with different names.

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Big Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails. These are some example phrases of pemdas and bedmas that might make it easier to remember.

The Order of Operations is a rule that assists you in solving an expression when the problem includes some of these operations:

B- Brackets
E- Exponents
D- Division
M- Multiplication
A- Addition
S- Subtraction

BEDMAS and PEDMAS basically have the same definition, only the P in PEDMAS stands for parentheses.

To help remember what those two acronyms stand for, these tricks can be used:

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.
Big Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails.
Pink Elephants Destroy Mice and Snails
