A numerator (numi) is the top part of the fraction; it shows how much pieces of the whole are there. If the numi is larger than the denomi, it is called a improper fraction.

A numerator is the number we are referring to for example 1/2 1 is the numerator. it is the top of a fraction.

The numerator is the number we refer to. For example, the 3 in 3/6 is the numerator. denominator is the number of parts that make up a whole which the 6 in 3/6. If the numerator is larger than the denominator, it is called an improper fraction. 6/3 is an improper fraction. A mixed number when there is a whole number with the fraction like 1 2/3. An decimal fraction is a fraction presented by a decimal. 1/2 = 0.5.

A fraction is made up of two things, being a numerator and a denominator. In 2/3 the numerator would be the number on top as it is the number of parts of the whole we are referring to. The denominator being the total number of parts that make up the whole. If I were to say 14/8 that would be an improper fraction, instead I could make it into a mixed number if I turned it into 8/8 6/8. A decimal fraction is when the fraction is in a decimal form for example 1/2 - 0.5 - 5 tenths

The numerator is the number we are talking about. For example, in 3/4 3 is the numerator. The denominator is the equal amount of parts that make up a whole. In 1/4 4 is the denominator. An improper fraction is when the numerator is greater than the denominator, like in 6/4. A mixed fraction is a whole number that has a fraction like 1 1/3. A decimal fraction is when a fraction is repressed with a decimal. 1/2 = 0.5 (5 tenths)

A fraction represents a part of a whole or any number of equal parts. A fraction consists of a numerator displayed above a line, and a non-zero denominator, displayed below that line. Numerators and denominators are also used in fractions that are not common, including compound fractions, complex fractions, and mixed numerals. For example, 2/9, 3/6, and 7/2 are all different kinds of fractions.

The numerator is the number that we are referring to. for example if we had 1/2 the numi would be the 1. The denominator is how many equal pieces something has been divided into. So in 1/2 the denominator would be the 2. An improper fraction would be when the numerator is bigger then the denominator. for example 15/4. A mixed number fraction comes from the improper fraction. For example in 15/4 there are 3 fours in 15 so on the side there would be a 3 and the leftovers are the numerator, so it would be 3 3/4 I think. And a decimal fraction is the she fraction is shown with decimals. For example instead of 1/2 it would be 0.5

Adding to the decimal fraction part - this could also be 2/10, but I just simplified it into 1/5.

Numerator and the denominator are very common in fraction. The numerator is on this top and it means How many equal parts we're talking about, and a denominator is how many whole equal parts it's divided into. For example, 3/4
