So the question asked was how is remote learning fro you?
i am actually really enjoying the school part of it. I feel like i am more of a independent worker, meaning i work better by myself. I am getting all my work done in time, and also because i am very organized and controlled person i know where everything is and i know what is completed and what is not completed.

The thing that i am missing most is the social part. I think most of us can say the same. Not being able to see anyone is hard because i am so extraverted. Another thing that i am really bummed about is no grad or grade seven camp because those were going to be so awesome!

Overall i would say for the work stuff i'm doing good, Social stuff not as good :)
Mr.Fisher, you're doing an amazing job. Thanks for all the work you are putting in to us learning!

@Mireya
Great PAR! :) I enjoyed reading your PAR! Although you have some spelling mistakes, your PAR is great! Maybe you could write a little more and answer the questions in a bit more detail. I miss the social part as well. :( Overall, an amazing PAR. Keep up the good work! :D

In the past couple of weeks we have had online school, and so far it is great! I am confident that I can continue on working on my work and completing it by the due date. My strength when doing online work would be completing it on time, so for I think I have not missed a single assignment yet. I have not faced any challenges yet but if I were to, I would go on Teams and ask for help from my classmates and teacher. On the other hand, I feel like I complete my work too quickly and always forget to double check, making me feel a little regretful. Mr. Fisher is doing great so far so I do not have any concerns currently.

Blossom! I did my par this morning but I should do it on the actual day next time. Sorry Mr. Fisher! Also, I don't think the image works when I click on it.

Online school can be frustrating sometimes, but it is the only way to have any school during this time, so I am grateful. Some strengths of mine are showing up to classes and morning meetings on a regular basis. This has not been as difficult because I wake up at the same time I would if I went to school, so I am ready to learn. Some challenges I have faced is completing assignments on time. This is because I have mixed up the due dates. Regularly, if we went to school, I believe we were allowed to post the PAR before class. But I guess that is not the case for online school. Or we just still start school at 9. Also, I usually do my work at night and sometimes it is too late when I complete it, so I wait until the next morning. I need to be much better at organizing my time. I don’t think I’m really doing too much of anything. Mr. Fisher is doing an amazing job at making sure everybody is held accountable. He is doing his best to help us in the last few months of our Grade 7 year. Thank you, Mr. Fisher!

How is Online School or, Remote Learning going for you?

Well, I actually think it's going pretty well. Whenever someone has a question, Mr. Fisher is always on top of it and I am very appreciative of that.

Something that I think is going well is how I can finish on time, sorry if that sounds modest. I also think that when I focus on something, I can finish it fast but, sometimes I can get distracted, I have to admit.

Something that is not going well is how I barely have time to do anything other than School and Dance. Because I need to get ready and on most days, I have dance at four, I get stressed out! But, that's my problem, not Mr. Fisher's. That's my stretch/challenge.

I actually think that I have a good balance of things, right now. For, PE, I just use my dance exercises because they take up lots of energy and are very VERY tiring. But, I do have to be honest, sometimes, I get gruelingly exhausted during dance class, it's a lot of dance and it's really hard at times.

I think Mr. Fisher can do better by making the morning meetings shorter because, by the time we finish, it's eleven-ish and I barely have any time to work before lunch. After that, I have a couple of hours and then I have to get ready for dance. I think I'm rushing sometimes.

Besides the morning meetings, Mr. Fisher is doing a great job keeping everyone organized and is doing an amazing job teaching online as well as supporting other students that need help :)

@Emily K
I think that the meetings are fine right now. If you do need more time to work maybe you can start before 10? I hope that helps.

In my opinion, online school is an okay experience. For me, procrastination and time issues would be my biggest barrier between me and success in online school. One thing I don't like as much about online school is that we have to spend so much time in front of our screens. Of course, I don't think we have a choice about that. I appreciate everything Mr. Fisher does for us.
My list of things from FG I need to complete:
Letter to self (will be handed in by 3 PM)
Math Integers assignment number 4
Math Interactions
PARs (I'll be going through it)

Onlie school was what was happening in the past while, due to the coronavirus outbreak. It was a bit hard to cooperate until Microsoft Teams were added. Online school is retty fun. Overall, school is pretty straitforwards. I can finish work, though it might take time, and I have other work to do. For instance, I have to sleep late to finish hard work, or wake up early. I think I can get on early everyday, do the par, and some simple work rasily, but I can't do everything quickly and have free time as well. I think I don't do much P.E at home :( because of staying home and not leaving. I don't know what I do a lot of, but I know i need to do more reading, exersizing, and basically something that is not work... I mean school's pretty fun and I can squeeze some free time in, but I am really getting the nerves of the coronavirus. 🦠

Hi Edmond, I also think you are doing a great job with online school. I know the distractions at home are hard, they are for me and my family as well. We just need to do our best. I find that making a schedule where you give yourself breaks is helpful to stay on task. Keep up the good work!

Because of corona virus which is a very infectious disease we can’t go to school to prevent the spread of the virus.

And because of this we are doing online school. Online school has its ups and downs like, first of all The ups, it’s not as intense as actual school and you get to do your work whenever you want pretty much. But the downs are that you don’t get to see your friends and it just doesn’t feel the same as school and there can be constant distractions around your home.

Overall though I think I’m doing ok so far. But I’d much rather be in a actual school dispite all the ups.

Remote Learning

Right now all students including me are learning remotely due to the Covid19 pandemic. Some find it more challenging while others think it’s really great. Personally I think it’s okay. I think I am doing fine with remote learning. I feel that I am doing pretty well but I think some of the things are a bit harder to do remotely especially if no one can help me. Overall, I think that it is okay and is ideal for now. I still really hope that I can go to school to see all my friends and spend a bit more time with them before high school and say a proper goodbye.

Things that are going well for me is being able to complete my work and being able to give the people who finish their work feedback. Some of my strengths have been: finishing my work and going on every call. Some challenges that i have faced are distractions like my phone and other people like my brother bothering me. Also it’s hard when no one can help me because then I do not know what to do so I cannot complete the assignment. What do I feel I need more of? I think that I need to concentrate more and I need to spend more time on some things and less time on others. What do I feel I do too much of? I think I do too much work on some assignments and then not enough on the other projects. Something that I am missing lots is the social part. I miss you all and I think most of you can say the same. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can see each other one more time before grade 8.

Mr. Fisher, thank you for all your hard work of trying to keep our class together. I want you to know that I really appreciate it and my parents do too. Thanks for all the work you are using for our learning. I do not have any concerns currently. I hope you are doing well and hope to see you soon!

@Everyone
Stay safe! Hope to see you all soon!

What is remote learning to you?

Online class is okay.

Something that is going well with me is that I am finishing my homework on time. My strength is showing up at morning meetings on a regular basis.

Some challenges that I have is how much screen time we are consuming and distraction. I understand we need to use our screen but i want to limit my screen time. But i appreciate what Mr. Fisher is doing. I get distracted easily. But I am trying to fix this problem.

I will plan and organize my studies better and how much time will I spend on a subject. For P.E, 30 minutes and etc. I think that we don’t do too much as compared to regular basis in a classroom.

Mr. Fisher is doing an amazing job organizing our daily or weekly plans. So I don’t have any negative feedback for him.

Hi Priya! I'm glad to hear that you are getting your work done. I totally understand about the distractions and screen time. It is something we are working on in my family as well. I think a schedule is a great way to keep yourself organized and on task. In your response, remember that "I" by itself must always be capitalized. Also, reread your paragraph that starts with "Some challenges" Your sentences could be rewritten so that they flow a bit better. Try combining 2 of the shorter sentences to make a longer sentence and don't use the work "but" so much. You have it 3 times in that small paragraph. That's it, good job!

For the past couple of weeks, our online school has been going on and it's great. It is a little frustrating sometimes that it is not face to face conversations, but Mr. Fisher is always supportive of our learning and is always there when we have a question or a problem and I'm appreciative of that.

One of my strengths is that I can do my work fast if I'm dedicated to it but there is a lot of stuff that distracts me at home. And if I do complete the assignment, I always forget to post it on Freshgrade. Another problem I've faced is the due dates. The due dates are different on teams and the website (like the photography project. It said that the project was due last Monday on teams but it says that it's due on the coming Monday on the website). But other than that, school is great and Mr. Fisher is doing a great job.

For the past 3 and a half weeks, we've been practicing online school. Honestly, I think I'm faring ok, as its not exactly easy for me. I've been completing almost all of my work on time and I can stay at home comfortably, so that's going well for me. I think my strength is participating in every morning meeting, and completing my work if I remember to do it. One of the challenges during this time was something concerning the morning meetings. It's starts lagging the moment I open the chat, although I can still hear the speaking so it's ok. Since I'm staying at home, there are distractions, but I try my best to keep myself in check. Speaking of distractions, I need to concentrate more and get rid of distractions. I feel like I also have to much screen time as most of my work is done online. Mr. Fisher, you are doing an awesome job so I don't really have much feedback for you. Thank you!

For quite a while now, due to the corona virus we've had online schooling and despite the struggles that I've seen so far I'm pulling through

I think something that is going well for me is completing most of my work on time as I can quite often complete is just in time. Some of my strengths have been, keeping up with the work, working on my own, independence, and trying to stay determined to get everything done. Some of the challenges I have had is with some of the math is although I always manage to figure it out in the end it takes me a while. I feel like I need to try a bit more and put more effort into my work as I feel like I'm not doing the best I could be. I feel like I do to much of my work alone when I struggle I often figure it out on my own instead of asking for help which makes everything take longer to complete. I feel like Mr. Fisher can make my learning better by just checking in with me once in a while on some activities I can often have stretches with, like math.

Because of the coronavirus, we had to take online classes at home. Attending classes online is not same as attending classes at school. I like them both. I think in school I can see my friends and teachers. But at home, you can get up late for online classes. Now that we’ve been online for a few weeks, I think it’s ok. But we can’t go outside for the online class. We can only exercise at home. But at home we can arrange our time b7 ourselves. You can arrange things according to your time. You can do whatever you want. I like taking classes online.
