Another week of great learning comes to an end. This week we returned to our criteria charts and students have been working hard at fine-tuning behaviour expectations. I really appreciate the effort everyone put in to making sure our class remains a smooth running learning machine. This week was a big week as we wrapped up our science unit on electricity and magnetism and also wrapped up our basketball unit. We also launched our underground railroad history and mapping project which students will be working on for the next two weeks. Let's have a strong finish up to spring break. Have a great weekend everybody see you on Monday. |
- Today you completed the final science challenge and used everything you have learned about electricity and magnetism to build a simple motor. We also spent time explaining how the motors worked using since language.
Success Criteria:
- Includes the following science language: battery, electrons, electricity, complete circuit, solenoid coil, attract, repell
- Explains what makes the coil spin
- Explanation is clear and only includes important information
- Read another students post and check it against the success criteria.
- Give some peer feedback to help them improve or some praise if they have included all success criteria
- Edit/revise based on the feedback you receive.
