Today was another great day of learning! We finished our Spring Break Raps and most groups also finished filming their French animations. Division 1 is now working on transformations in Math with Mr. Hong and Division 2 started graphing linear equations today. Next week division 1 will start editing their animations and adding a sound track, effects and voice overs. They should be ready to watch in a weeks time!
1) Reminders:
  • PLEASE BRING IN THE GRADE 7 CELEBRATION CONTRIBUTION OF $25!!!

The Spring Break Raps are coming along great. We will be performing them next Friday! It is going be awesome! Start thinking about what you will wear. Dress up for the performance. It will help you a lot and will really get the audience into it! In PE we reviewed the badminton skill and started our assessments. We still have 1 more week to work on our skills and try to improve. In math, we had a small mid unit assessment on expressions and relations in linear patterns and had a quick intro to solving equations. Mr. Hong and I had a meeting after school and have decided to do a math switch so we will put solving equations on hold for a couple of weeks and Division 1 will do transformations with Mr. Hong and I will be taking Division 2 to do graphing and algebraic expressions. We will start tomorrow! Animations are still coming along and will be due next Friday!
1) Reminders, Homework & Due Dates:
  • Novel study group meeting changed to this Friday, April 20th
  • French Animation Due Friday, April 27th

We also worked on or raps which are due in draft form by Friday. In math we continued practicing creating expressions that match increasing linear patterns. Tomorrow we will start solving 1 and 2 step equations. The afternoon was spent filmmaking. Some groups are finished filming and are adding sound and voices overs to their films.
ATTENTION: There seems to be some error on the website today and several people cannot post, including me. I'm not sure what is going on, but don't worry about it if you can not post today. You can do this par tomorrow. Hopefully it will be fixed:)
