Gift of Words Phrase: "Pure gold. That's what she was."

Context: It's being used from Liberty's point of view to describe her younger sister, Billie.

Meaning:
-could represent how innocent Billie is, she's only eight years old, and is trying to deal with the loss of their mother
-because she thinks of Billie as gold, it shows how much she loves her younger sister, unconditionally
-it also shows how Liberty holds Billie in high regards, that she cares about her, and that their relationship is very strong, unlike some siblings that argue constantly

Strange warmth of his magic eyes

Meaning/ My thinking
- William could feel the wizard staring into his eyes.

Miikka

Phrase: "Each piece had been lost then found.......reborn."

Context: Its being used in William's point of view to describe the items he used to build the windmill.

Meaning:
—It could mean he found the items in a "dying state" and he made them into a bigger, better item to use in life

—When he combined all the broken down items together, it could mean they were "reborn" into a more helpful source in his village

—It could mean they have a better "job" or "life" now that they are giving wind to people instead of giving more waste and worry to the ocean and humans.

Book: The Boy who Harnessed the Wind

Gift of Words Choice: Each piece had been lost and then found... reborn

Meaning:

- Each thing people already used was lost/thrown away because they had no use for it

- It was found by him probably and was used again for another purpose he found. Each piece, which means they all become something more and else.

Context: Liberty was ditched at the gas station and is worrying about what to do.

Meaning:

Gift of Words Phrase: "As if one were looking into the clear water of the river, down to the bottom, where things might lurk which hadn't been discovered yet."

Meaning:
-The baby (Gabriel) has the same light coloured eyes like his, which is very rare. Maybe it means that it seems like you know that person very well and knows everything about them, but at the bed of the river, there are many things lurking in the dark that you know nothing about.

-Or that even though the baby has a high chance of getting Released, it might be special and is different from the rest of the newchildren.

-He might get along really well with Jonas

-I have a feeling Gabe is going to be a big part of the book (is he?)

Book: Survival Strategies of the Almost Brave

Phrase: "Angry like the sun that burned a hole in the desert sky so hot and bright it might just eat us up."

Context: Twelve-year-old Liberty has been ditched by her unpredictable dad in the middle of Arizona with no one but her sister Billie, at a filthy gas station. So, as anyone would be, she's madder than mad can describe.

Meaning:
• Shows the raw anger of Liberty, both heated, but dangerous. The sun is the embodiment of Liberty because she feels both angry but powerful.
• Because of the sun's sometimes destructive power, it can also represent how anger can or will break Liberty's will and spirit. In a way, it shows the reader how anger can consume someone and break them from the inside.
• Anger never ends, as we've learned before; the sun won't either. Again, the length of the sun's life is a way of describing how anger will last.

Gift of word: I wished the world would open up and swallow me whole.

My thinking: That Georgina, the main character doesn't want to live that moment and just wants to be erased from existence.

Meaning within context: Georgina's friend Luanne Godfrey found out that she lives in a car because she has no money to rent or buy a house.
