6/29/2018

A good lesson starts with teacher modeling (cick the pic to see)
What  a grand finish to the school year: Camp, Grad Celebration, Dance Party and Dunk the Principal! I want you all to know that you are wonderful people and students who worked hard this year and deserve a rest.  You have all become better learners. You know that lessons should have specific learning intentions and success criteria, and that students should be told what they are. You know that specific feedback and revision is needed to push your learning.  You are taking ownership of your learning and are stating to advocate for yourselves!.  This means you do not just sit back and wait for the things you need to learn hoping they will come. Taking ownership and advocating means you go and get what you need to learn! You showed you can SOAR in school and out in the community. Take all you have learned with you and apply it in high school and you will be successful.  Mr. Hong and are so grateful to have had  the opportunity to learn together with you this year. Have a great summer and best of luck in high school! Keep in touch!

Learning Surveys & Final Chemistry Trials

6/12/2018

Picture
Picture
You started the day by completing several learning surveys.  You reviewed your digital portfolios on FreshGrade and carefully completed your self-assessments.  You self-assessed your work habits, attitude, strengths, stretches, self-regulation, and more.  Reflecting on your learning is an integral part of the learning process. It is our hope that you can take what you learned about how you learn with you to high school in order to achieve even more success. We also did our final trials in the chemistry unit and have some solid data to work with. This data will help us answer our inquiry question of the relative strength of the acids and bases.
1) Reminders:
  • Keep getting ready for camp
  • Prepare and acknowledgment for someone at   your table group
2) Math:
