Today we made steady progress in our chemistry unit and most groups now know how to determine the relative strength or the solutions. We will do our final testing next week. In math we started probability and discussed how probability is used in the world around us.
1) Reminders:
  • Camp health form
  • Camp Latona Visit tomorrow @ 1 pm (parents are welcome to attend)

Today we played some great games of Ultimate Frisbee in the morning. after recess students went over their math evaluations,  made their corrections and uploaded their work to Fresh Grade. In the afternoon, we continued our pH science inquiry lab. Students worked on trying to determine the relative strength of the acids and bases. Mr. Hong and I were very impressed with all the learning that was going on. Students  were very engaged and had great hypothesis and ideas. Tomorrow we will continue our work in chemistry.
1) Camp:
  • Please bring in the Health Form ASAP (click)
2) Grade 7 Slide Show:
  • Thank you to those students who brought in their childhood pictures
  • PLEASE BRING THE REST IN!
3) Chemistry:

  • pH Lesson (click)
  • Lab wrote up (click)
4) Post A Response:
  • Post the name of the book you are currently reading for our home reading program and a short summary of the plot so far.

  • Be sure to complete the Camp Activity Survey posted yesterday! (click)
2) Post A Response:
  • CREATE  2  EXAMPLES OF YOUR OWN FOR EACH LEARNING INTENTION FOR THE ALGEBRA UNIT (COPY AND PASTE THE LEARNING INTENTION WITH YOUR EXAMPLES  BELOW IT)
  • GRAPH THE FOLLOWING EQUATION  AND BRING IT TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY
  • 4X -5 = Y (USE THE X VALUES +5 TO -5)
  • **SOLVE YOUR EXAMPLES BUT ......
  • DO NOT POST THE ANSWERS!
  • ANOTHER CLASSMATE WILL USE YOUR PAR EXAMPLES AS  THEIR PRETEST ON MONDAY! YOU WILL MARK IT WITH THEM!
