"You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom." - Malcolm X

Malcolm Little was born on May 19, 1925, in Nebraska. As a little child, Malcolm had to struggle through many difficult experiences, like his father dying, his mom attending a mental institution, and finding his house burned. Dropped out of school when he was a young eighth grader, Malcolm started to participate in gambling, robbing, and drug dealing, which resulted in ten years in prison. When he was in prison, Malcolm joined the Nation of Islam and renamed himself “Malcolm X" to avoid his ancestry of slavery. After being released from prison, he founded many temples which followed the rules of Elijah Muhammad, the former leader of the Islamic nation, and later became the minister of the Number Seven Temple. In 1957, several policemen fought a black suspect to the ground. Malcolm X showed up, along with 4000 other followers, demanding the police to not use violence. As an incredible persuasive speaker, Malcolm X became a civil rights activist, but his choices started to part with his leader, Elijah Muhammad. Strongly disagreeing in many decisions of Malcolm X's, Malcolm broke from Islam in 1967. Continuing to speak strongly of his opinions, this outspoken activist met many African leaders. However, his choice of talking around the world cost an unforgivable thing: life. Repeatedly threatened, Malcolm X was gunned and murdered on February 21, 1985.

Malcolm X was born May 19, 1925 in Nebraska. When Malcolm was six, his father had died by being hit by a streetcar. His mother was becoming crazy, so Malcolm had to go to foster homes with other families. Malcolm was doing really good in school, he was one of the best, until one of his teacher told him that he shouldn't be a lawyer. Malcolm started doing illegal crimes after he dropped out of school, he was a drug dealer, robber, and part of a gang. He was arrested in 1946. After he got out of jail, he helped the Nation of Islam. Malcolm also met Elijah Muhammad. He began organizing temples for the nation in New York. Then he was selected for the temple No.7 in Harlem. Malcolm influenced many people, and had made a big impact of the nation, as the number members increase. In 1957, he went to support people who were beaten up by white people, and in 1964, he started to work for anti-discrimination. Malcolm gave many speeches to people and universities. There were many people who didn't like him, so they threatened him and his family, bombed his car, and burned down his house. He was shot twenty-one times and died on February 21, 1965. His legacy was remembered by hip hop dances. Finally, his funeral was hosted, and 30k people had attended to support and respect for what he had done to change this world.

Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925, he is an was an African American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular man during the civil rights movement. When he was younger Malcolm and his family suffered racist abuse from a group Called ..... his family need to escape form that group because they tried to kill Malcom X family. When he was six years old his father was killed in what many believe was a deliberate racist attack. But, his dad still got killed and died. Malcolm X is important for black history because He wanted to fight for the rights of black people because of the racist abuse he and his family had suffered. So after he spoke for many speeches every one admire at him and he became more popular of United State. Malcolm X had a difficult childhood and felt like he had no real opportunities. After his dad died, he turned to crime because Malcolm X family doesn’t have lots of money. Then He was sent to prison for being caught with stolen goods. While he was in prison, his brother sends him a letter that he joined a political and religious group. Then Malcolm X decided to join that group too after he came out from prison. After he joined the group he changed his name to Malcolm X to mark this change. That is why his name is “Malcolm X.”

On May 19th, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska Malcolm Little was born. Malcolm’s parents were constantly harassed by the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and their house was burned down. His dad and uncles died when he was 6 years old. |While his mom went through mental therapy, Malcolm and his siblings were put in an orphanage. He was a good student, but he dropped out because his teacher said that he could not be a lawyer because he was black. Malcolm moved to New York when he was 16, he was a drug dealer and a criminal. He got sent to jail because he was sticking someone up. He was in jail for 8 to 10 years and in that time his brother sent notes about the Islam Nation. When he got out of jail, Malcolm Little joined the Islam Nation and changed his name to Malcolm X. He met a man named Elijah Muhammed and started building temples for people. Malcolm X was a great speaker, so the population of Islam Nation grew from 500 to 30,000. Tension grew between Elijah and Malcolm, and eventually he transferred religions from the Islam to the Muslim because in this religion skin colours did not matter. Everyone was equal because they were all human beings. Malcolm X continued to give inspirational speeches about recognition and respect for black people. On February 21, 1965, he was making an inspiring speech and he was shot 21 times. He was significant person in black history because he wanted equal rights for all skin colours, and he was leading a fight against racism. Malcolm X’s efforts and contribution continues through music, film, and books. He is an inspiration for future generations to achieve racial equality.

Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1925. His parents were followers of the Pan-African activist Marcus Garvey. In his childhood, Malcolm faced many tragedies such as his home being burned down, threats from the Black Legion, his father dying, and his mother was sent to a mental institution, resulting with him and his siblings being sent to separate foster homes. Malcolm was a good student, but he dropped out because a white teacher discouraged him. At the age of 18, he took part in gambling, robbery, dealing drugs, and pimping. He was arrested and sentenced to eight to ten years in prison after committing robberies at the age of 21. He received letters from his siblings regarding the Nation of Islam and their leader, Elijah Muhammad. Malcolm Little changed his name to Malcolm X because he left the name of the slave owners, and joined the Nation of Islam. He visited Muhammad in Chicago after being released on parole, and went on to work at many temples. Malcolm spoke out openly against white people and in 1958 he married his wife Betty, who he had six children with. He was a huge part of the growing civil rights movement, and word about Malcolm X grew. He then spoke out about misconduct by Elijah Muhammad, saying he fathered many illegitimate children with the sisters, which led to his break from the Nation in March 1964. He started to work with other organizations promoting Pan-Africanism saying that Muhammad prevented him from this. He also spent time with white Muslims, and this widely changed his perspective on whites and started to view them as other humans rather than "white" or "black." He spoke out about this experience and returned to public speaking, and where he met with African leaders. The Nation went after Malcolm after his revelation about Muhammad, and so this resulted in repeated threats to his family. On February 21, 1965, Malcolm was shot 21 times by Nation of Islam members when he was speaking, and ultimately paid the price for speaking out with his life. He is remembered as an influential and persuasive activist who was very open and died for a cause that he deeply supported.

Malcom X was born on 1925, his parents started to seperate and he started to go into a state where he did stuff like crimes and gambling. He was put into jail at a young age but he wanted to change, he started by becoming some one who spoke about how all lives matter and all should have equal rights. He did that for a while until he was shot 21 times and died.

Malcom X was born on 1925 May 19th in Omaha Nebraska. Since his parents were followers of a man named Marcus Garvey his family would be harassed by the KKK and even had their house burnt down by them when Malcom was only 4. This wouldn’t be the only bad things to happen to his though because when Malcom was 6 his dad was killed when they moved to michigan. He also had his mother put in a mental institution which caused Malcom to be put in a foster home when he was 13. After being in Michigan and Boston for a few years Malcom then moved to Harlem at 18 years old where he would start doing things such as robbery drug dealing and pimping which would cause him to be sent to jail for around 10 years. While Malcom was in prision he began to change when he learned about a man named Elijah Muhammad from messages he would get from his siblings. Malcom would write a lot of letters to Elijah and even changed his name from Malcom Little to Malcom X because followers of Elijah were taught to change their original name because they were the names of former slave owners. After Malcom was released from jail he would then go to join Elijah and became the leader of a temple, host many protests, and inspire a lot of people. In 1958 Malcom married a woman named Betty and had 6 daughters with her. People in the nation would then start to not like Malcolm because he was getting more attention then their leader Elijah. then, Malcolm said he would take a break from the nation because Elijah prevented Malcom from working with other civil rights leaders but he then said that he never left and he was actually put out because of things Elijah’s son told him. then, the nation of islam started to dislike Malcolm and did things like bombing his car and burning his house. then, on February 21 1965 Malcom was shot 21 times by 3 members of the nation of islam.

Born on May 19th, 1925 in Omaha Nebraska was Malcolm Little or now know as Malcolm X. He was an activist for the civil rights movement and commonly worked with other great activists such as Martin Luther King Jr. He did things such as publicly shaming the government and the such. Seeing this, people started broadcasting this through television and radio stations. More people started to listen and more would agree with what he had to say. Malcolm changed the world to what it is today. Without him, the world would be a much dirtier place than today.
