2) ART: Oil pastel nature scene final composition die Friday

3) POST A RESPONSE:
  • For the final oil pastel nature scene you need to research and use a new art technique in your work. For your PAR today do an inquiry of different art techniques and choose one you would like to try in this project.
  • Identify and explain the technique here on the PAR.
  • See the videos below below for INSPIRATION!

one of the technique i did was when i tried making the stars i used paint and white out and flick the brush so it makes it look like stars.Something i would like to do is probably a beach with people and a sun setting down in the horizon for the people i wold like to just use a pencil and just draw people running.

Hey everyone! So the technique i would like to try for my nature scene oil pastel art piece is to try to also use pencil crayons to add a nice effect to the art :)

A technique I learned is scrumbling the way this works is instead of blending, you put pastel over another one, making a different colour. I think I can try this in my final art piece.

The technique that I would like to try for my final oil pastel nature scene is to shade shadows of trees in the forest at sunset.

A technique that I figured out was to use an eraser to blend little parts. This helps it blend and make it lighter. This would be useful for making shiny or light parts of a scenery or object.

A tequnique I would like to use is dabbing with my pastel so it looks a lot better than if I coloured with it like a pencil crayon.

I want to try stippling with oil pastels in my new piece as I think is would add a nice variation and texture throughout.
Stippling is kind of dabbing the pastel lightly on the paper creating dots.

A technique I would like to try is to use white, grey, or black pastels to change the value of the color and it's brightness. Usually use lighter color over darker one. (Darker color should be applied lightly)

OR

Use Q - tips or cotton balls to blend colors. using a cotton ball will solvent is great for coloring areas in your drawing (the sky, backgrounds, etc...)

A technique that I would like to use for this nature oil pastel art is using a eraser or a white pastel in order to blend the detailed areas of the oil pastel art.
Another technique that I may use instead is to use stencils in order to be able to add colour without entering another area of my art piece.

For my space scene, I want to create a neat effect for the stars. I want it to have some shimmer so the "light up" the galaxy. I think I will use paint to flick on some stars and go over it with a silver gel pen to give it the shimmery effect I'm aiming for.

I could also use a white oil pastel to help blend the colours in. As the man said when explaining how to blend, black is the death of colours! And of course I have black in my picture. Next art class, I will try using white pastel for some of the stars as well as to help blend my art piece.

I can also try creating stencils of planets and shading them with oil pastels. This will help create the shadow.

Or I can try drawing planets with a sharpie.

We have finished our first snowy night oil pastel nature scene. I think that mine turned out okay so for the next one I want to try something different so that I turns out better.

A technique that I could use to improve my next piece of oil pastel night scene art is to maybe use a q-tip type thing to make better designs because the next piece of art that I do might be a bit more complicated and detailed. I will use it to smudge some of the more detailed parts.

This is the technique that I will use for my next piece of art that I hope will work and help me.

I won’t quite use any new techniques, just improve on the current ones, such as blending. Instead of blending layer by layer, I will blend the middle of the 2 connecting layers then rub out individual layers afterward for a better looking piece. It in theory should give the piece a more realistic look.

For my second oil pastel art piece, I want to try to make constellations with the technique stippling so that the dots will make out the constellations I want.

In my second oil pastel art, I want to experiment with different stencils and shapes. This might help my artwork look more clean. I want to try this because in my first art, the white-out didn't really look satisfying. To improve, I will apply stencils that I will make by hand. I hope that this will improve my art skills.

A technique that I would like to use for this nature oil pastel art is using a eraser or a white pastel to blend the detailed and small areas of the oil pastel art.

Another technique that I may use instead is to use stencils in order to be able to add colours without changing other colours in the art.

I want to try to use stencils and shapes for my next oil pastel art. I would like to try this out because the white-out messed my art work a little so, I will apply stencils that I will draw.
