sun safety!

10/5/2022

Picture
Today was a very busy day. In the morning students completed their first round of fitness testing by running a cardiovascular fitness test called the beep test. They spent a large junk of the day working on their plant identification project. In the afternoon students finished the lesson on checking reliable Internet sources and had a chance to practice reviewing several websites to check for reliability. We also participated in a sun safety workshop where students learned how to protect themselves from skin cancer caused by the sun. Sometimes I am astonished at how much can fit into a school day! What a great day of learning.
1.) SCIENCE: Plant Id project due Friday. Plant Name test Tuesday (See information/science/plant samples to study)

2.) WORD WORK: Test on meaning and spelling Friday

3.) MATH: Math Focus p 13-14 #1-5 and p18 #1-5 (assignment from Tuesday)
  • No new math assignment today!
4)SOCIAL STUDIES INQUIRY: Wikipedia reliable source checking (due Friday)

5.) POST A RESPONSE:
  • LEARNING INTENTION: I can write a paragraph about 2-3 things I learned in the presentation today on skin cancer and sun safety.
    SUCCESS CRITERIA:
    1.) PARAGRAPH FORMAT: intro/body/ conclusion.
2.) GIVENS: Pay close attention to your spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, etc.
3.) INTRO: Make it exciting and engaging.
4.) BODY: Include at least 2-3 supporting points/examples.
5.) CONCLUSION: Tie up your paragraph smoothly.
6.) PEER FEEDBACK/SELF-ASSESSMENT: Give 1 student 2 things to improve on based on the above criteria.
7.) REVISED VERSION: Based on the feedback you receive or the self-assessment you complete, post a revised version as a reply to your original post.

The sun is a wonderful thing, you know that light yellow ball in the sky that hurts to look at but keeps the planet warm while providing light and energy to plants, but did you know to sun can also cause skin cancer? (Skin Cancer is the genetic mutation of unrepaired DNA skin cells which is most caused by sunshine and tanning beds) That's why I'm here to tell you a few ways to check and prevent skin cancer using the "ABCDE" checklist.

A is for asymmetrical shape. is one half of the mole is not like the other half while also not round or oval?
B is for border, Is your mole border notched, irregular or weird in any way?
C is for Color:, is your mole one or multiple colors? does it changes in color or have uneven color?
D is for Diameter, if your mole is Larger than 1/4 inch or a pencil eraser get it checked.
E is for Evolving, does your mole change over time? new shape size?

Wearing a hat, sunglasses, and applying sunscreen is a great idea as the will keep your skin safe from the sun if you can't do that, then you can just either 1, not go out between 10 a.m. and 2p.m. as that is when the sun burns the most or 2, stay under shade maybe under a tree or bring an umbrella though, the best way is to not go out at all.

Those are a few ways to check as well as prevent skin cancer and the next time your required to put on sunscreen, put it on!!!

Today, we had a presentation about skin cancer and skin safety. You can get skin cancer in anytime of your life. It's important to look out for them.

Here a way to found skin cancer on your body. First, check your body monthly for newly appeared mole(s). A normal mole should be symmetrical, clean boarder, and one colour. If you have a mole that is not symmetrical, don't have clean boarder, and is not one colour, then that's not normal. There's a very high chance that it's skin cancer, but if you have that weird mole your whole life and you had no problems with it then it shouldn't be a sign of skin cancer.

To keep your skin safe from skin cancer, all you need to do is simple. Try not to stay in the sun for to long. A tan is a sign of skin damage. Don't go out in the sun when the sun's rays are the strongest (10am-4pm). A skin protection is clothing (long sleeves ect.). Sunscreen is also a great protection. Make sure your sunscreen is SPF 30 or above and waterproof.

Skin protection is so important. I hope this piece of information well help you.

maybe you should remove " A tan is a sign of skin damage" or at least rephrase it as it does not really fit into the topic of keeping skin safe from skin cancer and mabe rephrase "A skin protection is clothing (long sleeves ect.)." as it sounds strange since you are listing what people should do,

Hello, you know about the big orange lava spewing ball of fire we humans call "The Sun"? Well did you know that that same yellow ball can damage your skin and help to cause skin cancer? And cancer ain't good so I'm going to tell you one way on how to look for skin cancer. I call it "The A.B.C.D.E. Checklist".

The "A" stands for Asymmetrical, if a mole you have is asymmetrical it could be a sign of skin cancer or it could be a sus mole.
The "B" stands for Border, if the border of one of your moles is weird looking it could be sus.
The "C" stands for Colour, if the mole is two different colours or is changing colour then it could be sus.
The "D" stands for Diameter, if your mole is bigger than 6mm then it could be a sus one.
Lastly the "E" stands for Evolving, if your mole gets bigger or changes colour over time it could lead to skin cancer.

Those are some things to look for when checking for skin cancer.

But overall I think you did pretty awesome.

I also think that you should say instead of "I call it the ABCDE checklist"
you should put "They" or "She". since she was the one who taught and called it that.

Sun safety is what you should always revise to yourself and others when you are going outside. But what is sun safety? Sun safety is something that you should know to keep you away from harm from the sun.

The sun is something that can give you skin cancer and skin cancer could kill you if you don’t be careful. In order to try not to get skin cancer from the start is to always revise others and yourself the ABCDEs. The ABCDEs are ways to find out if you have skin cancer. The first letter A stands for asymmetry. If you have a mole that is not symmetrical it may be a sign of skin cancer. The second letter is B, and B stands for border, if you have a mole that does not have even borders it also may be a sign of skin cancer. The third letter C stands for colour. If the mole has mor than one colour that could also be another sign of skin cancer. The fourth letter D stands for diameter, if the mole is larger than 6mm that is also a sign that you might have skin cancer. The last letter is E, and it stands for evolving. If the mole changes, shape, colour, or any other way it is also another sign of skin cancer.

There are other ways to keep you away from harm from the sun like putting on sunscreen, wearing sunglasses, wearing a long sleeve shirt, wearing a long-brimmed hat and staying in the shade. The best option is to not go outside form the start.

If you ever see any of the ABCDEs suspicious signs on your moles, go to your doctor immediately. Always remember to wear and apply what you can to keep yourself away from the harm of the sun. :)

It is very important to stay safe when you are in the sun. Skin cancer is one of the main, serious results of not protecting your skin from the sun’s UV rays.

There are so many different ways to help prevent you from getting skin cancer, but today I am going to tell you four of the ways I learned today. First, make sure you wear sunscreen with an spf of at least 30. The sunscreen acts like a temporary shield for your skin and will help you not get a sunburn. Even in the winter, time you may not see the sun as much but it is still shining on your skin. Second, wear a long-sleeved shirt or pants if you can. This will help block the sun from reaching and burning your skin. Next, check your moles at least once a month. This may seem weird but your moles are a great way to check if you have skin cancer. If you see any changes in colour, size, or if they don’t look symmetrical, make sure to get it checked out by a doctor. Lastly, don’t use tanning beds. All though they may give your skin a ‘glow’ these tanning beds are very harmful for your skin. If you don’t know how tanning beds work, the bulbs in the tanning bed imitate the suns UV rays to create an artificial tan. Did you know, tanning beds increase your chance of getting skin cancer by 75%?

There are many different kinds of skin cancer, but the most lethal kind is something called melanoma. The reason it’s more lethal is because it spreads through your body faster than any other skin cancer. Make sure to follow the tips above to help prevent it!

I hope these tips were helpful and that you can use these to help your skin in the future!

The sun that keeps us warm or even makes us hot can start cancer in our body which is called skin cancer. You can get skin cancer in anytime of your life. It is important to look out for them before they spread into your lungs, brain or even your eye.

A straightforward way to remember how to look out for cancer is to use the ABCDE checklist. The A stands for stands for Asymmetrical, if a mole you have is asymmetrical it could be a sign of skin cancer. B stands for stands for Border, if the border of one of your moles is dark or any different than usual it is a sign that you could have skin cancer. C stands for Color, if the mole is two unusual colors or is changing color it is not a good sign. D stands for Diameter, if your mole is bigger than 6mm (about 0.24 in) you should get it checked by a doctor. And finally E stands for Evolving, if your mole changes color or shape it also is very suspicious.

Wearing 30+ and waterproof sunscreen is also a promising idea. Using waterproof sunscreen is because even if you are not swimming you could start sweating which could rub the sun screen off.

Using these tips could help everyone from getting skin cancer that could totally change our lives.

Today, we had a presentation about skin cancer and how we can prevent getting it.
As we all know too much exposure with the sun can damage our skin and can cause skin cancer . We can't avoid the sun but we can protect our skin by using SPF 30 sunscreen, wear long sleeve, sun hat to protect your face or stay on the shade as possible between 10am - 4pm during summer time.
If possible we need be watchful about some markings in our body. Like round mole that changing colors, size and shape. It could be melanoma. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that develops from the pigment. Usually causes of ultraviolet light or sun and tanning device. Consult your doctor right away if you are not sure about it.

Take care your skin and it makes you happy. Use sunscreen every sunny day.

Today at school I learned about skin cancer and how to keep your body safe from the sun. I will give some reasons how you get skin cancer and i will give shared advice from the presentation on how to try and prevent sun burns.

some of the ways you can get skin cancer is from the sun, a tanning bed and from moles. The sun can cause cancer when you are burnt but it is not a high chance you will get cancer. You can get cancer from tanning beds because they have UV-A and UV-B rays which is all every where in the bed. Lastly you can get skin cancer from moles because when the mole turns asymmetrical, changes border, changes color, if the diameter changes or if it is evolving.

I will now give advice i got from the presentation on how to try and prevent sun burns. Some advice i got was you should wear sunscreen, long clothes, stay in the shade or stay inside. You should wear sunscreen because it can prevent sun burns but get the one that is water proof because it will last longer. Although it it hot in summer you can choose to wear longs sleeves or pants, it will protect you from the sun but you will get really hot. The shade is a good way to stay cool because whatever is covering you will absorb or deflect the suns heat. The last way to keep you from getting or preventing sun burns is to stay in doors.

These are some ways you can get sun cancer and some reasons to prevent sun burns. I hope i explained a lot on how to prevent sun burns
and facts about skin cancer.

Today at school I learned about how people get skin cancer and how to prevent getting skin cancer. Apparently people that are old or people that have a long line of family members that had skin cancer before are at risk of getting skin cancer. Skin cancer is caused by: spending too much time out in the sun, having a tan or healthy glow, UV rays, sunburns, etc. You can prevent getting skin cancer by wearing sunscreen above 30 fps every 2 hours, you at least have to wear a hat, some pants, long sleeved shirts, sunglasses, or whatever clothing that can protect you from the sun.

Skin cancer is a very serious thing to be having most skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to (UV) rays. To lower your risk of getting skin cancer, you can protect your skin from UV rays from the sun and from artificial sources like tanning beds and sunlamps.

Most people like sunny days because they can do many fun activities outside just like going to the beach, swimming, playing with friends and hiking. However, if you’re in the sun for too long without putting any sunscreen on, your skin will get burned. You will also get skin cancer if serious. I’m going to tell you what to do to avoid those issues.
Most skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to UV rays. To get rid of this disease, one of the most important things is to always put sunscreen on when you’re outdoors. I suggest to use water sunscreen because it’s better for your skin. In order to protect your skin, you need to wear sunscreen every 2 hours when you're outdoors. Don’t just put some, put a lot instead. Then, the sunscreen will protect you from the sun. If you don’t want to wear sunscreen, you can also wear shirts with sleeves, a hat and long pants. You can bring an umbrella too if you think wearing these clothes will make you feel very hot.
The second thing you need to know is to stop using the tanning bed. It’s because it will hurt your skin badly and will even increase your risk of skin cancer. So I highly don’t recommend buying that.
Besides doing these things to avoid skin cancer, you also need to check your moles every month and see if your moles have any weird changes. For example, if your mole suddenly has two colours on it, then this would be very suspicious. You need to call a doctor quickly and let him/her check you mole.
Learning these things are really important because we can know how to avoid it and at the same time, we can also learn more facts. Therefore, I really think this is very meaningful.

@Jan This is awesome! However, maybe make "To get rid of this disease" into "To prevent this disease" as you can't actually prevent it from happening? (You can only try your best to stop it from happening to you.) Also, maybe for "Stop using the tanning bed", you can say "Don't use the tanning bed", snice people might not have used it before. That's just my option, but overall you did great!

Today we had a presentation about skin cancer and sun safety.

I learned that you should wear at least a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or above to protect your skin from the sun. Secondly, if you have noticed a change or a discomfort in a mole on your body, you should tell your doctor right away to be safe. Lastly, please try not to get a bad sunburn before 18 because it could double your chances of getting melanoma, a deadly type of skin cancer. These are a few key facts about skin cancer that I hope will help you stay safe.

At least everybody likes sunny days you can play outside, play with a sprinkler, go to the park and much more fun activities to do on suny days but always playing in the sun is not always good for your skin.

Today at school we had an online presentation about skin cancer and this doctor has told us plenty of ways how to get it and how not to get skin cancer

The first thing we learned about was a little trivia the sun, uv radiation, and tanning beds because they can burn your skin and can make the chances of skin cancer increase so I would not use those tanning beds or not wear sunscreen at the beach next time I go.

secondly we learned that the deadliest skin cancer is Melanoma which can be treated if you catch its quickly if not you may not have many years to live unfortunately. Also you can have Melanoma when your born but its very rare.

lastly we learned how to reduce your chances of skin cancer by getting sunscreen that's spf 30 and higher if you don't have sunscreen where protective clothes from the un such as pants, long sleave t shirts, and sunglasses if your going to be to hot in those avoid going outside 10 am to 4 pm because that's when the sun is mostly hotter than in the morning or night

I recommend you follows these 3 things I said so you don't have to go through skin cancer and if you do you can thank me later.

It's been so hot lately, and so many of us have gone into the sun. But what we should remember before we go out is to apply protection from the sun. This is immensely important only because of the risk of skin cancer.

Getting too many sunburns or being exposed to the sun for too long can lead to horrible skin cancer. It can spread to your lungs, your liver, your eyes, and so on. It leaves traces of itself on your skin, too. As you may know, applying sunscreen definitely helps to protect from the sun's UV rays. But you should look out for sunscreen that will benefit you the most, which is lotion that is waterproof and at least 30 SPF. Make sure to buy waterproof sunscreen even if you aren't in the water. Sweat can wash off sunscreen, too. Another thing you should know is to stay away from tanning beds. They use UVA and UVB radiation, which can cause sunburns/tan. Severe sunburns may increase the risk of skin cancer. It would also be great if you tried to stay out of the sun completely, in the shade of a tree or wearing extra clothes.

So, remember! Waterproof, 30 SPF sunscreen, and no tanning beds. Make sure you apply sunscreen before you go into the sun. I hope these tips helped you to protect against skin cancer. Stay safe!

The weather is usually warm or hot during summertime and when the sun is closest to the earth. It is common for children to spend a huge amount of their time outside, out in the hot sun, and get tanned. Although, what are the disadvantages of these fun activities? Skin cancer is a disadvantage and the main topic I will be talking about!

There are 4 types of major skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, Merkel cell cancer, and the most serious type of skin cancer called melanoma. There are multiple risk factors for skin cancer. For example, light natural skin tone, burned skin, freckles, blue or green eyes, blonde or red hair, a family history of skin cancer, older age, and numerous large moles. One trick to use is the "ABCDE" checklist. It is a checklist for you to identify if you have any probability of getting skin cancer (mostly used to identify if you may have melanoma too). "A" stands for asymmetrical. If your mole is asymmetrical, this may indicate that you have skin cancer (or perhaps melanoma). "B" stands for border. If the outer edges of your mole are uneven, irregular, or notched (the border), is another indication that you may have skin cancer. “C” stands for colour. If your mole has a mixture of colours like black, brown, red or blue, this could be a sign of skin cancer. “D” stands for diameter. If your mole is greater than 6cm or about the size of a pencil eraser, this could be another indication of skin cancer. Lastly, “E” stands for Evolving. If your mole is gradually growing, changing colours, and changing its shape, it may be a sign of skin cancer too. ‘But Nadine, how do you prevent skin cancer?’. Preventing skin cancer is simple. Do not tan, wear sunscreen (I recommend you use SPF 30 and waterproof sunscreen), avoid peek hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), wear protective clothing (hat and sunglasses), and seek shade!

Skin cancer should be taken seriously and cautiously. In order to stay out and enjoy the sun without worrying about skin cancer, just do your best to prevent and abide the rules. Have fun and stay safe!

The weather is usually warm or hot during summertime and when the sun is closest to the earth. It is common for children to spend a large amount of their time outside, out in the hot sun, and get tanned. However, what are the disadvantages of these fun activities?

"A" is an abbreviation for asymmetrical. “D” is short for diameter. If your mole is significantly larger than 6cm or about the size of a pencil eraser, this could be another indication of skin cancer. Lastly, “E" represents Evolving. If your mole is gradually growing, changing colours, and changing its shape, it may be a sign of skin cancer too. ‘But Nadine, how do you prevent skin cancer?’. Preventing skin cancer is simple. Do not tan, wear sunscreen (I recommend you use SPF 30 and waterproof sunscreen), avoid peak hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), wear protective clothing (hat and sunglasses), and seek shade!

Skin cancer should be taken seriously and cautiously. In order to stay out and enjoy the sun without worrying about skin cancer, just do your best to prevent and abide by the rules. Have fun and stay safe!

Climate change is happening, and the sun seems to be becoming hotter every time you go out in the sun. Skin damage is caused by the sun, which we see almost every single day of our lives. The UV radiation from the sun causes skin damage, and skin damage can lead to skin cancer. A way to slimmer the chances of that happening is to up on sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30. However, just putting sunscreen and sunglasses aren’t enough, you also have to check yourself monthly to make sure that you don’t develop skin cancer over time to time.

How do you check if you have skin cancer? Well, you can use the ABCDE method to check. A is for asymmetry, which means that basically, if a mole on your body is different in size from one half to the other half, you must get it checked with a doctor. B is for border, and it has the same idea as A. If the border of your mole isn’t the same on both sides, make sure to get it checked with a doctor. C is for color; if a mole on your body isn’t the same color, also get it checked. D for diameter! If one part of your mole is bigger, well, that isn’t so good... Lastly, we have E, which stands for evolution. That means that your mole changes size, color, or shape over the year.

If any of these happen to your mole, contact a doctor as soon as possible, unless, of course, you’ve had your mole for your whole live and it never changed. I really hope that nobody gets skin cancer, because it sounds painful, and I also hope that these tips will help you discover if you have skin cancer before it’s too late!

You know that giant yellow ball of plasma 150 million kilometres away? What if I tell you that the same thing can cause skin cancer. One thing I learned is that tanning beds increase your chance of getting skin cancer by 75% in adulthood if you use it before you are 35. For example, the person presenting us the facts about sun safety said it. I also learned that Melanoma is the most dangerous type of skin cancer, because it spreads to other parts of your body. For example it could spread to other parts of your skin. One last thing I learned is that Sunscreen Protection Factor is the time it takes for the skin to burn. For example, let’s say your skin will burn in 5 minutes outside without sunscreen, then SPF 30 sunscreen will be you skin will burn in 5 x 30 minutes outside. These are some interesting facts I did not know before.

Climate change making sun hotter so we should look out for skin cancer here are some things to look out for
If you have any moles you should check them every month just in case and the way you should check is by see if it changed size or shape or grew bigger or if there is two colours on your mole you should get it checked before it’s too late
Some way to get skin cancer is by being in the sun for too long or using a tanning bed before 18 which increases your chances of getting skin cancer
Some way to prevent this is by using sunscreen over 30 spf or wearing sunglasses or seeking shade
Melanoma is the rarest and deadliest skin cancer there’s is so make sure you check your moles every month to make sure just in case if you spot anything suspicious tell your parents and get it checked by a doctor
This is what we learned in todays skin cancer presentation .

Although going outside and enjoying the sun is important and fun, there are some things you should consider beforehand.

Skin cancer is a type of cancer that is caused by UV rays. If you discover it too late, it could be fatal. To prevent from getting skin cancer, here are the things you need to know.
1. Always wear sunscreen. It sounds like it isn't a big deal, but it makes all the difference. To protect your skin from getting permanently damaged by the sun, wear sunscreen and reapply it often.

2. Do not purposely tan. At first, tanning could come off as a way to have a health glow to your skin, but the tan is actually your damaged skin. Tanning beds are also a bad idea because you are definitely increasing your chances of getting skin cancer.

Lastly, if skin cancer was known to someone in your family, there is a higher chance you could get it too. Male sure to check your body every once in a while before it's too late to get treatment.

Still, enjoy the sun using these ways to protect your skin and still have fun playing outside.

Going outside and enjoying the sun can be sun and relaxing, but here are some important things you should consider before you leave.

Staying out in the sun for too long can cause skin cancer, if not increasing your chances of getting it.
To prevent this from happening, here are some things you need to know.

Wearing sunscreen is a easy and great, simple way to protect your skin from the UV rays coming out of the sun. Remember to use SPF30 or higher or it won't take the damage. Reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours to keep your skin protected.

Do not tan. Tanning seems like a great idea to get a healthy natural glow in your skin, but the glow your seeing is actually the damage taken upon your skin.

This does not mean to stop going outside, because you should still get fresh air and sun to be healthy. To stay safe from cancer, use these methods and your good to go.

The sun is a wonderful thing, right? Well yes, it provides us warmth, energy, and vitamin D, but it can also be harmful to us. When we stay in the sun too long, the UV rays damage your skin and you will be more vulnerable to skin cancer.

Some things you shouldn't do is tan. tanning will expose you to the sun and you will have a bigger chance to get skin cancer. Don't use a tanning bed and although you won't get exposed to the sun, the light that is in it has lots of UV lights and will damage your skin.

What you should do is apply sunscreen. Applying a good brand of sunscreen will protect 97% of your skin from the sun. 97% is amazing but don't forget to re-apply it every 2 hours. You should also try not to go outside for long periods of time as being exposed to the sun for a long time isn't good for your skin.

A sign for skin cancer are moles. Some moles are just there but if your moles look a bit weirder or feels different, you can use the ABCDE method.
Asymmetrical. If your mole doesn't look like the other half then that might be a sign of skin cancer.
Border. If the border of your mole look weird in any way (colour, thickness, etc) then you might have skin cancer.
Colour. If your mole looks weird in colour or changes then you might be doomed.
Diameter. If your mole's diameter is more than 6mm (I think it was) then you wanna get that checked up
Evolving. If your mole changes shape or anything, you need a doctor.

That is how you will be able to prevent getting skin cancer and how to see if you have it. If your mole has all of the ABCDE's then you are in big trouble. Get a doctor as fast as you can (might be too late) and if you survive, you'd be glad you learned about skin cancer or else it'd be a different story.

Playing in the sun gives you a great boost of vitamin d but you have to be cautious and responsible to reapply your sunscreen for various reasons.

Your sunscreen should have either an SPF of 30 or higher, this can be more effective and decrease the chances of Sun damage.
You must reapply your sunscreen every few hours, if not chances of skin damage may increase.

Melanoma is the deadliest type of skin cancer,
Melanoma can easily spread from a mole you already had and it could spread fast!
This type of skin cancer could practically spread anywhere such are your eyes, lungs, liver, bones and even your brain.

In other words, you have to be cautious and beware that playing outside may also have its pros and cons and could possibly lead to skin cancer/damage.

Today we learned about skin cancer and how important it is in school. There a few ways to tell if you are more exposed to possibly getting skin cancer, and some reasons as to why that is.

Skin cancer is usually caused by your skin being shown to too much UV light, also known as ultraviolet light. One of the main sources that it comes from is the sun, the reasoning being that it gives off rats of UV light. From that understanding, the people that stay in the sun longer would have a higher risk of getting skin cancer. But how would we prevent it from happening?

Well, you could try to stay in the shade more if you are outside on a sunny day. Try to avoid the sun, and put on sunscreen. The preferred SPF is 30 or higher. You can also wear a hat with a longer brim, long sleeves, and clothing that will cover up a lot of your skin. However when the sun is the most strong it would be around the summer so wearing a hoodie wouldn’t quite be ideal. So that’s why we have sunscreen.

Some people are also more sensitive to the UV rays. Example being people with a lighter skin tone, people with families that have a history of having skin cancer, a certain amount of moles on your body, a history of having skin cancer, older aged people, and blondes or gingers. Most of these reasons have one thing in common, which is that the causes are mainly because you have already been exposed to it or in some cases your family has been.

The last thing I’ve learnt today is a type of skin cancer, Melanoma. (Plus a bit more research) Melanoma is the third most common type of skin cancer, however when it comes in third, that doesn’t make it anymore dangerous; in fact it’s actually on more of the serious side. Since Melanoma developed in cells, (melanocytes) they can basically form on any part of your body. Which makes it really hard to find at times and you may not even find it until it’s too late. Not only can you find it on the outside of your body, it is also possible (though rare) to find it inside of your body. Such as in your mouth and throat. Though it sounds really scary, it is highly curable if found early.

Even if it is easily curable you still should try preventing it as much as possible especially if you have history with it.

Don’t forget to wear sunscreen! Protecting your skin from the sun’s rays are extremely important, as you could risk getting skin cancer if left in the sun frequently. To protect yourself from skin cancer, stay in the shade, use sunscreen, and avoid tanning beds. Tanning beds expose your skin to uv rays, and is not worth the glowing skin.
If you notice dark, irregular spots on your skin, it’s definitely a suspect. Melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer, grows in dark blotches on your skin. It is curable if caught early, though. Remember to check your moles at least once a month!

Sun exposure needs to be handled very delicately. Too little sun is bad for you, and too much sun is also bad for you. In fact, too much sun can lead to skin cancer.
Everyone is at risk of getting skin cancer. However, if you have a lighter natural skin colour, blue or green eyes, more than 50 moles, and a family history of skin cancer, you are more likely to get diagnosed.
It is important to know the difference between sun burns and sun damage. Sun burns are the immediate reaction of being exposed to too much sun, while sun damage is caused by many days of sun exposure. Sun burns can heal, while sun damage cannot.
In order to protect ourselves from sun damage, we should use sunscreen with a SPF of 30 or higher, wear long sleeves and long pants, avoid the sun from 10 am to 4 pm when the sun's rays are at it's strongest, and NEVER use tanning beds - it's not worth it!
Of course, we shouldn't avoid the sun completely. However, we do need to find the right balance to make sure we are getting the right amount of sun exposure we need. -not too much, not too little.

1Sometime sun is good for our skin but sometime sun also dangerous for our skin to avoid skin cancer you have to used sun block to protect your skin if you don't have sun screen you can avoid the sun and go to building or tree
2 you have to go to the doctor if you have birth mark that the color change or it getting bigger
3 the most dangerous type of skin cancer is melanoma we have to avoid the cancer because it can spread really fast!
