Today, we learned about digital citizenship. Students in both divisions gathered together to create criteria charts (C-Charts) for online safety and for digital citizenship on our class websites. We learned the importance of protecting our private information and only communicating with people we know personally. It is important we learn how to navigate the internet safely. Parents, please review internet safety with your children and watch the two videos that are posted today. |

- Word analysis due tomorrow
- Spelling and meaning test Friday
- Students are required to do 30 minutes of home reading each day, including weekends. This is a very importnat part of the grade 7 program. Students should be reading a variety of different texts.
- STUDENTS: Please remember to fill in your calendar
- PARENTS: Please sign the home reading calendar each day.
- Students will be taking a math ASSESSMENT tomorrow to make sure they have the required skills to start the grade 7 math program.
- Today, we built some behavioural Criteria charts had a class discussion on internet safety and privacy.
- In paragraph form (introduction, body and supporting sentences/examples, and conclusion), explain at least 3 different points on how to stay safe online.
- Give one student suggestions for improvement based on the GIVENS (spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure.).
- Reply to the comment and edit/revise your paragraph based on the feedback you were given.
- Show your parents your work.
