Today we got to work on our French posters. Students finished their drafts, got some feedback and then carried on to start their good copies. Soon the posters will be up in the classroom and we will start using our new french phrases. From recess to lunch we worked on our Alphabiography writing projects. Ms. Chohan gave a writing tip on different ways to make sentences. The lesson was called The Sentence Flip! After lunch, we stared an art project called Op Art Shading Blogs. We reviewed the process to create the composition and then looked at some examples to help us build the success criteria for the project. Then students got to work on their first drafts. It was amazing that in just a short time drafts were vastly improved based on teacher and peer feedback. Outstanding job being persistent in sticking to the principles of learning.

1) Writers Workshop:

Make sure you have done at least 3 sentence flips in you Alphabiography

2) Science:

We will do science observations tomorrow so bring anything you might like to add to your ecosystem tomorrow

3) Post A Response:

Part 1: Use the Sentence Flip Tip on the title of todays blog post and post the flipped title here
Part 2: Go though your Alphabiography writing and make note of what writing tips you have clearly identified in your work. If you have not already made a legend to identify the writing tips you have used then make a legend tonight.
Go through you writing and make a list of which writing tips you have highlighted in your work.
Any writing tips that have not yet been highlighted must be completed by tomorrow. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THIS ALL ALONG
EVERYONE MUST HAVE A COMPLETE LEGEND WITH ALL WRITING TIPS CLEARLY IDENTIFIED
The writing tips you MUST have INCLUDED in your legend and IDENTIFIED in your work are:

Breaking down ideas to add complexity
Using different transition words
Adding Figurative language

A prey, a soft furry prey. His glowing dark eyes and furry brown face. following his tiny body A long soft tail, his listening ears and the dark stripes on his fur, waiting, waiting for food. The radiant grass reflects on the window. I wait, I wait some more. And then approach him.

My room was a dark space, the carpet floors filled with clothes and tables filed with paper. My knotted hair falls on my face as I am berried in the screen. The world fades around me. It's so peaceful, you can hear a pin drop. the heavy air I breath, my eyes began to close. A loud sound disturbs my peace. My eyes go dark, a wave of fear scares me. i start running Within a second. I lose balance and tremble down but the staircase rail helps me up. My oblivious family crowded near a window. There fascinated stares catch my attention. Outside there was a soft squirrel staring at them. He was soft and brown, He looked quit young. His dark brown gleaming curious eyes stared inside our house. "Bilel!" yelled my baby brother. His sweet smile expanded as he shouted with joy "Bilel!" He was a little squirrel from the outside, he didn't know what this "big" building was, a whole new world inside this house and he was staring from outside. My mom interrupted my thoughts to suggest to feed the squirrel, and so we did.

Well yes, but also you flip the sentence to start at a phrase in which shows the place and or time. When you start a sentence like that you would catch the attention of the reader.
Example
In the middle of the room, there was a mysterious gift.

Starting at "in the middle of the room" would make the reader wonder whats in the middle of the roon.

A- Airplane

Why do I love airplanes? I love them because they fly and they are very helpful items. Things you should know about planes. The front of the plane where the pilot sits is called a cockpit, where the people sit is called the cabin, where the toilet is called a lavatory. The fuel tanks are called well fuel tanks. Where the get engine is are called turbines. How to fly an airplane. Well it is kind of simple actually. When you sit in the cockpit you will see a steering wheel kind of thing that is to move the aircraft. The stick lever in the middle bottom near your seat is called a throttle it is there to make your aircraft go faster and slower. Aircrafts are made out of aluminum and can outlast most lightning storms so don’t worry you will be safe.

And also plane are really safe unless you get a hijacker but that is very rarely going to happen but if it does don’t worry your airplane captain has a taser on board and can Easley shoot the terrorist and put them in handcuffs. Also airplanes are very well made now so if your plane crashes your chances of survival are 80 percent if you're in the back of the plane then in the front. Airplane engines are magnificent works of engineering they are made under very exact precision because if one thing goes wrong the whole plane goes boom. Also jet engines produce so much exhaust pollution that it takes at least 2 planes to kill a bird. Pollution is very bad because if we make to much we can have no sun no air to breath all we will smell is diesel fumes and Gasoline fumes. Hope you enjoyed this enjoyed this bye

Airport trip.

I and a couple of kids decided to go to the airport we all agreed chatted with our parents to see if it was ok. Are parents all agreed so we decided that on Friday we were going to go to the airport to watch planes and eat food. Of course, my friends where more excited about the food then watching the planes. We rode on the sky train because it took us straight to the airport. Once we go there me and my friends got off the train and went to go to the observation deck to watch the planes. Then we found our seats and went on to order some food. I ordered teriyaki, and a bottle of water. The total was 5 dollars but worth the money of course why was it worth the money, what was so good about it? Was it warm? Describe the smell and taste, etc. Then I got my freshly cooked teriyaki and my water and went upstairs my friend Lucas on the other hand took a more serious approach and went to A&W and got himself a large teen burger with iced tea and poutine. My friend Edward made a little mistake which was a little funny. So, there was this lady at the airport waiting for here food to be made. And here onion rings are on the table. Edward thinks its Lucas’s and goes in for the grab but a woman says excuse me that’s my food. Did he apologize? How did the encounter end? Ok so we continue eating chatting about planes. But then I needed to use the bathroom. But instead of the bathroom I accidently passed the security checkpoint without anyone noticing. But then an officer came up to me and said where is my passport. And I said I don’t have it and was looking for the washroom. Then he told me where the bathroom was. Then me and my friends chatted more about planes. We saw a good load of planes such as WestJet, Air Canada and so on What do you like about watching the planes? Is it the sounds, the feeling of the floor rumbling? Describe. After we finished eating. We looked at more planes. And then we went to different shops I bought my self-ice cream and a lollipop for Edwards little brother. Then we got back on the sky train and went home. That is the end hopefully you enjoy this story

BEST BUY AND WINDOWS PROBLEMS

I woke up and wanted to go play some games on my computer. Booted it up it turned on And typed in my password. I was going to go to google but then my computer said error. I got so mad I got my laptop plugged it in the computer and went searching for the problem using coding it was very tricky but I finally found what it was. Then ii disconnect my laptop from the computer and felt relieved that it worked. But out of nowhere my computer starts making a very loud noise. Then I grab my computer flip it around and start looking where is the noise coming from. Turns out it was my cooling fan that was all covered with dust. But if I had an apple computer this would have never happened because apple does not have a cooling fan they have a jell like substance in there that circulates through the computer to cool it. Another thing if my computer was an apple computer it would have not logged out when I was opening google because apple computers even the old ones never crash because of apple special thing called iCloud. No, you go on your alphabio and make a legend for all the writing tips. Also make a writing tip check list and check the ones you have done. The list is in the PAR intructions. When you are done copy/ paste the list into a comment in the website and say that you have completed that part of the PAR.

You're too engaged into your game of Fortnite. Your mum is calling you for dinner but you're almost there, only a few players left. The volume of your parents shouting at you to go downstairs for dinner and yet you kept on shouting back "five more minutes!" last opponent left! You think to yourself, "I can win this!" The opponent pushes for final zone, then you shoot, you've won! VICTORY ROYALE!

First person style games blossomed in 2017, especially games in the "battle royale" category. For those who don't know (everyone should at least know PUBG or Fortnite,) battle royale is when there are players start out with nothing then collects loot to "kill" the other players and to be the last one standing or as some would say, winner winner chicken dinner! And no, despite popular belief, "violent" games like PUBG or Fortnite does not or simply cannot influence someone to do acts of violence or harm towards others.

The sudden demand for these type of games in 2017 caused these games and a few others to become super popular amongst the youngsters, and yes I play PUBG myself. I believe I got introduced to PUBG when I saw a YouTube video of this gamer who just started to learn how to play the game, or as some would call it a "newbie."

PUBG at the time, was only available on PC and the game costs money therefore very few had access to PUBG. It wasn't until it was officially release on any mobile device was when more people started playing PUBG. I think it was Justin or Ivan who introduced me to the game first and it became one of my favorite games. I started playing more and more and became more and more addicted to the game, however my "self-integrity" holds me to do all my homework first before playing. Most of the time. But after Fortnite saw how successful PUBG was with "battle royale," they created their own free/better version of PUBG but more directed towards the younger ages. I know some might disagree with me on this, but simply in my opinion PUBG > Fortnite!
