Today was a busy at at school. In the morning, we had an importnat discussion about Learning and marks and we saw that having a high mark does not necessarily mean you have learned a lot. While getting high marks is a good goal what is most importnat is that you keep on learning.
IMPORTANT: CHOOSE YOUR HOODIE SIZE ASAP (You must have your order in by Monday September 27th

  3. Youth Sizes (click)
***In your agenda, have your parent write whether you are ordering an adult or youth, the hoodie size, the colour (either ROYAL BLUE or PURPLE) and if you want a zip up hoodie or a pull over hoodie

IMPORTNAT-It is better to have a hoodie that is bigger rather than one that is smaller

EXAMPLES: 
  1. Adult large royal blue zip
  2. Youth medium purple pullover
  3. Adult extra Large purple zip

1.) Homework/Due Dates/Reminders:
  1. Name tag due tomorrow by 3pm
  2. Terry Fox Run Tomorrow
  3. Word Work Test on spelling and meaning (Monday)
  4. 30 Home Reading

2.) POST A RESPONSE:​
  • Today we reviewed the big idea of the video DIGITAL DOSSIER by having a good class discussion. Everything we discussed is part of bing a good and informed citizen.​
  • A good Digital Citizen is a person who develops the skills and knowledge to effectively use the internet and other digital technology
  • Help make an Action C-Chart for what a good digital citizen does. Try and keep the points focused on what you should do rather than what you should not do. List 4-5 things good digital citizens do.

1. Be aware of what you're posting or doing
2. If you're ever installing or doing something like that check it's details because it could leak your information, or scam you or it could even lead to more danger.
3. Before you do anything on social media be careful.
4. Don't install apps if it needs to scan you or anything else for example, If there is this app which tells me my life but scanning my thumb they could take details and do something wrong with it.

3. At most, use your first name and last initial online; no more than that.

1. have at least the basic knowledge of the risks and dangers of the internet

2. fill out only necessary and semi to non personal information

3. read all the information on websites and apps, so you don’t miss anything.

4. think if something that you post might or might not haunt you in the future

5. be a kind and nice person on the internet, as it could be something that could be used against you in the future

1. Be careful of what information you put out, whether it being yours or someone else's.
2. Be more positive than negative, something you say in the past may be used against you in the future.
3. Only submit information you need to submit.
4. Read over your posts before publishing them.
5. Be aware of how the internet may treat you, and that anything you post, submit, etc. can theoretically be seen by anyone.
