Today, in chemistry class, we learned to determine the Ph level of six unknown solutions with a Ph indicating solution made from purple cabbage juice.

First, we prepared six unknown solutions and the Ph indicating solution, each in different test tubes. Then, we added a few drops of an unknown solution into a test vile with a pipette, and mixed it with a few drops of Ph indicating solution. The solution changed its colour, depending on its Ph level. After we tested each of the six unknown solutions with this method, we got an assortment of colours from each solution. Next, we checked the internet and confirmed that warm colours, such as red, orange and yellow, indicated acidic solutions, and cold colours, such as blue and purple indicated basic solutions.

In the end, we found that the first, third and fifth solutions had cold colours, indicating basic solutions, and the second, fourth and sixth solutions were in warm colours, indicating acidic solutions.

In today's experiment, we figured out which substances where bases and which were acids. We used known acids and bases such as bleach and vinegar. From here, we added the Ph indicating solution to find that bleach turned a light yellow and vinegar changed into a light pink. We concluded that all the substances that changed into a green, blue and yellow color are bases and all substances that become pink, purple, and red are acids.

Today during Science, we proved that which solutionns are acid and bases. We started by sorting those solutions by colours and seperate them in 2 different groups. To identify which one is acid, we used some known acid like lemon and added the PH indicator to see what colour did it changed. We realized that it changed to the colour pink, so we know the group with the colour pink is acid. To test which one is base, we did the same experiment. We added the PH indicator to the bleach and it turnned to the colour yellow, so we know that the group with the colour yellow to green will be base. After the testing, we found out that red, pink, purple are acid and green, blue, yellow are bases.

Today in science we had to find out if the unknown solution is an acid or a base. We had to get some things like a tube and a test holder. Then we had to take some purple cabbage juice and add them as our pH indicator. I also added bleach, vinegar and alcohol to the testing tube and then added pH indicator for fun. When I added the pH indicator the solutions changed color. I did some research on what the colors meant, and I found out that purple, pink and red are acids. The yellow, blue and green were bases. Solutions 1,3,5 were bases and solutions 2,4,6 were acids.

Today during science period, Division Two determined which of six unknown solutions were acids and bases. We first drops a few drops of PH indicating solution in a vial along with each solution. This caused a physical change because the solutions changed colour. Next, we grouped the solutions according to the similarities of their colour: Yellow, green, and teal together and magenta, pink, and lilac together. To determine which were acids ad bases, we tested known variables with the PH indicating solution, and we found out that acids tend to turn pink and bases tend to turn yellow. Therefore, we knew that magenta, pink, and lilac were acids, and that green, teal, and yellow were bases.

Today in our science labs, we tested six different unknown solutions to see which were acids and bases. We put each different solution into a vial and put some pH in it, each had turned into different colours. There were pink, blue, and green. To find out which were acids and bases, we used lemon juice and pH to see which colour it would be. Since we knew that lemons are acids, then whatever the colour the lemon and pH added together is, will be acid. The results were the colour pink, so we concluded all the pink where acids and all the blues were bases.

Today in science lab, we had six unknown solutions in each jar and we need to determines which of these six solutions were bases and acids. First, we used some know acids like lemon to put it in first three solutions. Then we know that lemon are acid so, when we drop it into three unknown solutions it changed clours. On the other hand, we used some know base like bleach. We drop few bleach into the small cup and add some another three unknown solutions in it. Then we determined which were acids and bases by usung observation. Also, all of those unknown solutions we added with PH which was cabbage juice. Since, we knew that lemons are acids and bleach are bases. Then after we add unknown solutions with lemon it will turn blue and we knew that solutions are acid. This is how we prove that which were bases and acids in each jar of unknown solutions.

Today in science we tested six unknown liquids to see whether they were acids or bases. My group put them all in vials and added pigment from red cabbages to each of them, making sure they were of equal amounts. Some of the vials turned green, blue, yellow, and pink. We formed the hypothesis of the yellow, green, and blue vials being bases because of our common knowledge about bleach. Bleach on clothing usually will drastically change the color, and bleach is a base. Then, we tested known liquids such as lemon juice, vinegar, and bleach. Lemon juice and vinegar are acids, and they both turned pink, while the bleach turned yellow. Based on our knowledge of the color wheel, we came to the conclusion that all the pink vials were acids, and the rest were bases.

Lets make this short and simple:
We used a known base and added the ph salution into it, same with an acid. The acid turned pink so thats how we seperated it.

Today in science we learned about how to determine acids and bases. Our group used lemon juice to figure out the acids. We found that the lemon juice turned pink when Ph was added to it. We then decided that the other colors would have to have been bases as we were only given two options. but to make sure that we were right, we tried water, which turned purple, because the Ph was purple. And then we tried bleach, a known base, which turned green. We then determined that strong bases were green and the weaker they get, the more blueish green they turn.

Today, our class did a pH lab to determine which solutions were acidic and which were basic. I first searched on the internet on what the general color of an acid was. They said it was red but we have little to no evidence. We decided to use lemons and bleach to determine what color an acid would be and what a base would be. The lemons turned out to be a very dark red while the bleach was dark green.
In the end, we concluded that red, pink were acids, green was neutral, and dark green, blue, purple were bases.

Today in Chemistry, we experimented with six unknown solutions using Ph. The first step was to figure out with are acids and bases. We added the Ph to the solutions to see which colours appear. We also added lemon juice to see which are acids and found out that acids are colours purple, pink, red etc. So, bases must be the colours blue, green, yellow etc.

There was unknown solutions we use in chemistry. We have put ph in each different solutions in each tube and it turn into different coulors. A few of them turn blue, green, and yellow the rest turned into red or pinkish but identified them by seeing the coulors like the green and blue is a base for red or pinkish one it was a acid.
