1. Variable
A variable is a placeholder for any unkown number that is reprersented with any letter. For example, in the expression "y + 1", this would mean "some number + 1". If y = 5 (this is just a random number), you simply plug in the number five in the expression. For instance "y + 1" will equal to "5 + 1", which equals to six.

2. A constant is a number that never changes. For example, in the expression "5y" (This means "5 * y"), the number five is the constant because it never changes.

3. A coefficient is the multiplicative number of an equation which involves a variable. For example, in the expression "5y", five is the coefficient because that is the number which decides how many times "y" is repeated. In general, a coefficient will be the constant of an expression.

1. Variable:
A variable is an unknown number substituted by a letter. Example:
x + 4
This expression tells us x, or an unknown number, plus 4. If x = 1, substituting x in the expression, 1 + 4. Which equals to 5.

2. Constant:
A constant is a number that is on it's own. Example:
3x + 4.
The number four is constant because it's by itself and it will not change.

3. Coefficient:
A coefficient is the number that is multiplied by the variable. Example:
4x
The coefficient would be four, because four is being multiplied by x.

In algebra, the variable, constant, and coefficient are key “ingredients” in an equation. For example, 4x+4=12

The variable is the number that changes. In this equation the variable would be the “x”. The constant never changes; it always stays the same. In this case, the constants would be the second and last numbers 4 and 12. The coefficient is the number that modifies the variable, meaning it’s getting multiplied. In this equation, the 4 with the “x” is the coefficient.

A variable is the letter (the unknown number) the letter could be anything. For example x-1=9 x being the variable

I am not sure about a constant is so I totally didn't search it up, I would never do something like that 0_0
So a constant is the number that doesn't change, and yes I didn't ctrl c, ctrl v that. For example 5+y 5 being the constant

A coefficient is the number that multiplies the variable.
Example 1xY 1 being the coefficient

@Tyler- it is 100% fine to search it up. Then write what you have learned in your own words! This is learning, Learning is always okay!

Variables:
A variable is a substitute for an unknown number. For example the equation is X+3, the X represent an unknown number and 3 is the number that the equation had. If X=4, which means 4+3 will be the equation so therefore, the answer is 7.

Constant:
A constant is the number that stay the same. For example the equation is 3x + 5, which means 3x plus 5, number 5 will be the constant number because it stays the same.

Coefficient:
A coefficient is a number that get multiply by an unknown number aka a variable. For example, the expression is 3x. The number 3 is the coefficient number because 3 got multiply by x.

A variable is any unknown number that is replaced with a number, only until the value is found. For example, if a + 7 = 10, we know that a must equal 10 - 7 which is 3, because a + 7 - 7 = 10 - 7 (to balance both sides out) also equals a = 10 - 7 and a = 3

A constant is a number that has no variable attached to it and is on its own. For example, in the expression 2a - 6, the constant is 6.

The coefficient is the number behind a variable and is the multiplier. For example, in the expression 4x + 5y, the coefficients are 4 and 5

1. variable
a variable is a letter to represent a number we don't know. For example x,y or z
t=x+3 the variable is t and x because we don't know what the letter means

2. constant
a constant is a number that does not change.
y=x+3 the constant is +3 because it wont change even if the variables change

3. coefficient
a coefficient is a number attached to a variable so that means multiply
y=4x the coefficient is 4 because the x is right beside it

1 variable = unknown number usually subbed for a letter.

e.g. 1 + x

2 constant is the number that doesnt change

e.g. 1 + x one is the constant because it doesnt change

3 coefficient is a number multiplied by the unknown number, a variable

e.g. 2 = 1x the coefficient is 1

1. Variable= Unknown number that may have many changes. It can be we use a single letter to represent a variable. The letters can be variety.

Ex: if y+5=10 then we could use 10-5=5 so that will find out the y=5

2. Constant is the number that does not change.
Ex: 12x-7 the constant of this expression is 7 and it does not change.

3. Coefficient is a number used to multiply a variable. Ex: 6z means 6 times z, and "z" is a variable, so 6 is a coefficient.

1. Variable: A Variable is an unknown number which basically represents a number that we do not know.

2. Constant: A Constant is a number that does not change at all even if anything happens it never changes.

Coefficient: Coefficient is only used to multiply a variable.

Variables are usually letters used to represent anything unknown. Eg: 5 - x = 3, x is the variable.

Constants are numbers who are not attached to variables. Eg: 6 - 2x = 9 , 6 is the constant.

Coefficients are variables who are multiplied to a number. Eg 5x + 8 = 90, 5x is the coefficient.

A variable is a unknown number that is represented by letters.
Example: x + 5, x is the variable.

Constant is a number that does not change.
Example: 7x + 5, 5 is the constant.

Coefficients are numbers used to multiply by variable.
Example: 5x, x is a variable that is used to multiply by 5 x X.

Variable is a letter that represents an unknown number.
5x. X is variable.

Constant's will never change.
7 + 5x. 7 is the constant.

Coefficient's are the numbers next to the variable. It multiplies with the variable. 5x + 7. 5 is the coefficient.

A variable is usually represented by a letter and stands for an unknown quantity, such as "a","b", or "x". As an example: in the equation 10x = 20, "x" is the variable because we don't know the value of "x" just by looking at the equation.

A constant is a number that will never change, hence being called a constant. An example of a constant would be: 9 + x = y. 9 is the constant because the value of 9 never changes

A coefficient is a number that is beside a variable. An example of a coefficient would be 9x + 2 = 20. The coefficient here would be 9, as it accompanies x, the variable.

A variable is a letter that could be anything it's a unkown number for example 9x. X would be the variable.
A constant is number that never changes it will always stay the same for example 5+9x. 5 would be the constant.
A coefficient is a number that is right beside the vairable for example 7x+5= 19. 7 would be the cofficient.

Today we learned about the "ingredients" of algebraic expressions and equations.

1. A variable is an unknown value that may change within the context of a mathematical problem and is represented by a letter.
Example: x, y, z...

2. A constant is any well defined real number, in which it's value doesn't change.
Example: 1, 2, 3...

3. A coefficient is a constant (but may be an expression) that is multiplied by a variable.
Example: 4x, 5y, 26a... the coefficients are 4, 5, and 26.
