Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."
i think the meaning that garvey is trying to say is your life can be a story and have a lot going on or your life can be boring like when garvey said that the hot dog tasted good and said that the hot dog did its job to feed the guy who is eating it and feed the guy full

"The whole world is a hot dog."

I think that Garvey is trying to tell cole that the world / your life can be whatever you want it to be. You can burn the hot dog and not take anytime on making it taste good. Or you can spend a little more time and make it taste good.

To summarize all of this: Garvey wants cole to take the time to breath and not let anger take over him.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think he is trying to say that Cole should only eat what he needs to eat. He shouldn't be gluttonous and eat more, he ate just enough and that's all he needed.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

I think he is trying to say that even if he ever ran out of food, no matter where he is he can always fine food if he scrounges around. If he also isn't picky than the whole world is a hotdog to him.

I think Garvey is trying to teach Cole that he is lucky to even be back on the island with all the food. In jail you barely get fed anything, however that island has many resources even if you exclude the supplies they brought with them.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less." I think this means you take care of yourself, you tell what you want to do.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog." I think it means the whole world, your whole life you choose your path, and once you did it, there is no turning back, because you already 'ate' part of the hot dog.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?
I think Garvey is trying to teach Cole that you need to give back to people and you also need to stay humble. If you ask for something, the world might bless you with it. If you ask for something to eat, it may give you a cricket to eat. Its just the way the dice rolls. Garvey also gave him some of his hot dog so he could feel good about making others happy. Cole is also super lucky to eat a proper meal everyday and that he isn't back in jail stuck in a cell. He has more freedom.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."
I think he's trying to tell Cole that in life, sometimes you shouldn't do more or less the what you have to.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."
I think he was trying tell Cole that the world is neutral. You can split up the hot dog as in to do good to the world or just eat the hot dog. As in just mind yourself.

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?
I think he is trying to tell Cole that there are many decisions out in the world. You can choose to help yourself or others. Sometimes if you act out too much or too less there could be consequences.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think that Garvey is trying to teach Cole that you take care of yourself. If you want to "eat", then "eat" but don't "eat" too much.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

I think that Garvey is trying to teach Cole that it's your life. You get to choose your path and you make your own decisions about things. You think before you did because there's no truning back. You need to do things that you won't regret.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

HE was trying to teach him that sometimes making every one happy is more important than making ur self happy. The hot dog means that life is not all ways fair. You allways get what you asked for. No more, no less.,

THe entire world is about every one. You can't all ways try to keep stuff to ur self. Some times sharing and choosing what happened next in your life and if it goes good or bad, is more important.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think what this means is what ever Cole thinks of what that hotdog is is what it will be. If Cole sees it as only a object to satisfy his hunger it will only be that.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

This means that the world is what you think of it to be. If you only see the negative sides of the world. You would think of the world as a bad place same thing for positives.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."
I think that the meaning behind this is that you control everything that happens in your life. If you wanted to eat something, that is what you would eat, no more, no less. If you wanted to achieve your goals, you would be responsible for achieving it with consistent efforts. You would be capable of setting a positive mindset. You decide what you want to do in life. It’s your life after all.
Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."
This metaphor represents the fact that life can be a party every single day if you gave it that purpose. When Cole ate the hot dog, he gave it the purpose of just being a hot dog to eat. But, when Garvey ate it, he made it into a celebration. Life can be a celebration. The question is, what do you want life to be?
Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?
I think the message that Garvey is trying to pass on to Cole is that you have every single day to just live your life for the sake of it being your life. Instead, turn everyday into a fun and exciting adventure. Things that are as simple as eating a hot dog can be turned into something more, something that creates happiness. Garvey is trying to tell Cole to change his mindset and treat everyday as if he were on a mission or at a party.
I think this is a great message. Touching Spirit Bear has many amazing figurative languages and I enjoy listening to them and exploring them.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think that this means that Cole had a choice in giving the hot dog a different meaning if he wanted to. Garvey was able to make that hot dog into a big deal but it means that Cole could change his perspective of how he sees things due to his own will.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

I believe that this is trying to tell you that the world will forever be what you are able to see in it. Everything that you do occurs due to your own will. You have to look at both sides of the world.(negative, positive)

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?

I think that the message Garvey is trying to teach Cole is that everyone is able to choose what to do out of their own will. It means that there is no turning back what Cole has already done so he should learn to find the positive sides of the world by himself to be able to fully understand.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think the meaning of this quote is that if you want something to be what you want it to be, then it will only be what you want it to be. For example, in the quote, it says that Cole wanted the hot dog to feed him and satisfy his hunger, so that's what it did.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

I think that this quote is related to the first one as the world and your life is what you make it. The hotdog that Garvey ate was toasted to with every bite, and if the world is that hotdog, then the world and your life is a celebration as Garvey wanted it to be.

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?

I think that the message Garvey is trying to teach Cole is that if you want to hang on to your anger, then you will always be angry, but if you want to be happy then you will be. Although your anger will still always be there as a memory, but you can keep it at bay by looking at all the great and happy things in life.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."
i think that there are two sides of a world. if you just look at the negative side of something, then you will think about bad and negative thing than good and positives.

the message that Garvey is trying to teach Cole are there is many decisions in the world. But some are bad so you need to find the right decisions.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?

I think this means that you can control the hotdog to do whatever you wish for it to do, whether it is just to eat it, or maybe share it. Kind of just like in real life. You can control it in a sense. For example: if you wanted to get better grades, you could control that with some extra work and effort. Kind of like the hotdog. If you wish to make your hotdog better tasting with condiments, you can do so with some extra time and effort

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."
I think Garvey is trying to tell Cole that he should be listening to those people who had helped him without refusing.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog." I think it means when you choose a path, and once you did it, there is no turning back. You have to keep trying and never give up, because in the end you will get what you want.

I think that the message Garvey is trying to teach Cole is that if he's afraid to take another step forward, then he would be stuck there for a long time. In other words, forget all the bad memories and move forward, because you have a bright future ahead of you.

Quote 1: "That hot dog did exactly what you asked it to do. You asked it to feed you, and it fed you. No more, no less."

I think Garvey is trying to tell Cole that in life do exactly what your going to do, nothing more nothing less of it.
It’s his life and he can control everything he does. If he was going to achieve a goal do it or not do it at all.

Quote 2: "The whole world is a hot dog."
I think Garvey was trying to tell Cole about how life could be anything if he gave it that purpose. Cole made a hot dog and he made it a purpose to feed himself. Garvey made the same hot dog but gave it a purpose as a celebration.

Question: What message is Garvey trying to teach Cole?
I think the message Garvey is trying to teach Cole is that he can do whatever he chooses to do so if he does it. He can waste his life being angry when he can be happy. Like the hot dog, he can chose for it to just be a meal or a celebration.
