Today we talked about how our brains learn. We talked about experiences, background knowledge, connections and ways we can help remember things. Everyone created an action and vocalization to go with their descriptor and name. We all practiced listening, saying and doing the actions with each others names. It was amazing how quickly we were able to start remembering each others names experiencing them is so many different ways! We also learned and practice a proper hand washing technique. Both teachers modeled and students modeled using paint! It was a very good visual for everyone. We wrapped up the day by starting our Plant Identification and First Nations Use Project!
IMPORTANT:
  • Bring a mobile device to use in class when needed.  Again, you are 100% responsible for your device.
1.) HOME READING: 30 minutes and fill out the calendar

2.) WORD WORK: Test on spelling and meaning Friday

3.) NAME TAG: Due Friday

4.) POST A RESPONSE:
  • We have been learning about Action Criteria (C-Charts) That outline behaviour expectations in different situations and places for both Students and teachers.
  • One of the places you will work and learn  in is the online on our class website
  • You job today is to create a C-Chart for behaviour expectations for our class website
Learning Intention: I can create a C-chart for our class website

Success Criteria:
  • Include expectations for both students and teacher
  • Include at least 3-4 expectations for each group (studnets and teachers)

Over some time, a virus can eventually become a worldwide PANDEMIC.

Coughing can be a SYMPTOM of having Coronavirus.

Practicing HYGIENE can improve your health.

If you have CHRONIC coughing, you should not go to school.

A synonym for pink eye is CONJUNCTIVITIS.

If you're feeling FATIGUED, rest at home.

Vomiting is a symptom of NAUSEA.

Being in a small COHORT can reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

CORONAVIRUS is a global pandemic originating from Wuhan, China.

EPIDEMICS are rare and sometimes can be very dangerous.

The OUTBREAK of WW2 was very unexpected.

The TRANSMISSION of the Coronavirus happens when liquid fluids enter your body.

If you are ASYMPTOMATIC to the Coronavirus, you likely don't have the virus.

VACCINES can cure diseases but can also affect your life forever

QUARANTINE flew by pretty fast.

The VENTILATOR helped the patient breath.
