Co-Created Behaviour Expectations for Independent Work Time
The end of another great week of learning as come to an end. Together as a class, we have co-created many Action Criteria Charts that set out behaviour expectations at school. Students are responding very well. Once we have a good system with clear expectations in place the learning will thrive!  To end the week we completed the Terry Fox Run and started our first science unit on ecosystems by launching our Plant Identification and First nations use Project. Let's keep the learning going into next week and beyond!!!

IMPORTANT: CHOOSE YOUR HOODIE SIZE ASAP (You must have your order in by Monday September 27th

***In your agenda, have your parent write whether you are ordering an adult or youth, the hoodie size, the colour (either ROYAL BLUE or PURPLE) and if you want a zip up hoodie or a pull over hoodie

IMPORTNAT-It is better to have a hoodie that is bigger rather than one that is smaller

EXAMPLES: 
  1. Adult large royal blue zip
  2. Youth medium purple pullover
  3. Adult extra Large purple zip

1.) Homework/Due Dates/Reminders:
  1. Word Work Test on spelling and meaning (Monday)
  2. Daily Home Reading and Calendar
  3. CHOOSE HOODIE SIZE
  4. FORMS: Give parents the package and your immunization forms. Have them review/sign them and return all necessary forms on Monday.
  5. Pay your school fees

2.)POST A RESPONSE:
  • On Monday we are lucky to have a virtual video meeting with The  Olympian Ronnie Baker. Tell your parents about our guest we will be welcoming into our class on Monday (virtually).
  • Think of some thoughtful questions (at least 3)  over the weekend to ask him on Monday. Post your questions here!

1. In 2019, you suffered a pair of injuries that put you out of commision for most of the season, but you returned to racing in early 2021. In March, you broke the meet record at Texas Relays, and in June, you qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
My question is, how did you overcome those injuries to continue your racing career, go to the Olympic Games, and persevere to be the fastest man on earth?

2. I know that you like running and playing basketball. And as you are super fast, I think football is a well-suited sport for you, and you would be a great football superstar.
My question is, why didn’t you choose to play football?

3. I learned from the internet that during your career, you were influenced by Michael Johnson, Tyson Gay, and Usain Bolt. Michael Johnson was the king of 200m and 400m sprints, as Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt were both successful at the 100m and 200m sprints.
My question is, who was your favourite sprinter out of these three, and why?
