Students are hard at work preparing for the Gr. 7 Speech Fest this Friday. Continue to work through learning the content of your speeches, eliminating supporting points to stay within the 3-5 minute time limit, and making it more engaging. Parents, if you have time, please have your child practice their speech in front of you and provide them with some feedback based on the criteria/rubric. They also have a speech guidebook they were given that has tips on how to make an engaging speech. |

- LEARNING INTENTION: I can write a short paragraph about 2 things I need to work on for my speech and how I can improve in these areas.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) PARAGRAPH FORMAT: intro/body/conclusion
2.) BODY: Include 2 points from the criteria that you need to work on
3.) GIVENS: Spelling, sentence structure, grammar, capitals, and punctuation.
4.) PEER-ASSESSMENT: Give one student feedback based on the above criteria.
5.) REVISION: Edit/revise based on peer feedback or a self-assessment
