I voted for the person that I did because I liked what he said he was going to do.how I voted. First we made our identification card then we went to the back of the school . Than we handed our identification cards to the police officers. After that we got our ballot,I went to the voting station and voted. then I went to place my ballot in the box’s. that was my voting experience.

We as our class researched about government. And we could of chose any of the governments. But I chose for NDP bc I thought there reasons were really good. So we wrote down 2-3 reasons why we voted for them. Then on Monday we had voting day. We signed out these Id cards and then we headed outside to the back. We lined up and these kids from Ms.j class. They brought us to these voting officers. We handed them our ID cards that we made. They gave us this sheet with there initials on then and we went to then voting station to fill out who we are going to vote for. Then we put them in this box. They said who won.

I decided which political party to vote for, by reading the different party's platforms on 3 topics that matter to me most. I chose covid recovery, guns, and climate change as my topics. After reading each party's political platform, I thought about who's ideas I agreed with most and made my decision. Once everyone in our class decided, we each wrote down 2-3 reasons to why we voted for that certain party. Afterwards, we filled out our identification cards and went outside to vote. At the voting station our identification cards were checked, and our names were ticked off the list of voters. We then received our ballots and went to the voting tables. Once we voted for a candidate, we folded our ballot and slipped it into a box with all the other votes.

Today our class got to participate in the student voting program. This is a program where students all over Canada got a chance to replicate a Federal election. I decided which political party to vote for, by reading the different party's platforms on 3 topics that matter to me most. I chose covid recovery, guns, and climate change as my topics. After reading each party's political platform, I thought about who's ideas I agreed with most and made my decision. Once we voted for a candidate, we folded our ballot and slipped it into a box with all the other votes. I’m very grateful for this opportunity because it gave me a chance to get a better understanding of what our voting system is like in Canada.

For the student vote, I decided which political party to vote for based of who’s political platform I agreed with the most in the three topics I think are the most important. It was not easy to pick a party as all of them had reallly similar ideas, but I picked one rather than the others as I agree with them the most and they seemed the best. When we wented out to vote,I waited in line, walked to the booth, ticked off the candidate that I voted for and slipped the ballot into the box

I chose the political party by researching about the benefits and I chose the one that I agree with the most. We went outside to fill in the ballot and folded it in a specific way and submitted it into the box.

Yesterday, we got to vote. But before that, our group researched about the political party by researching about the benefits. All of the political party offered to make a change in different ways. For example, The New Democrats are going to get rid of gun smuggling the Green Party are going to buy the gun back. Both parties are getting rid of guns but in a different method.
Finally, it was voting day and we had to fill in our Voter Identification and we went out to vote. We were greeted by the voter officers and they gave us the ballot. We each choose the party that we agree with and slipped the ballot into the vote box.

I decided on what political party to vote for by reading all of the parties political platforms. When the time came for our class to vote, we went to the back of the school and we went in a line waiting for our chance to vote for the candidate that was in our favour. Finally, when my turn came along, I was handed a ballot, then I went to a booth, checked the party I favoured , folded it, and plopped it in to the box

Voting was kind of hard because I was stuck between two political parties. I had to do more research on the two party’s platforms because the research I did with my group wasn’t enough. I went over the parties platforms again, this time looking at 5 issues instead of 3. I chose to look at Covid Recovery, Guns, Climate Change, Housing and Health Care. After all that I was still stuck between the same two parties. On Friday, when we had to pick a party and write down why we wanted to vote for it, I picked one of the parties i was thinking about voting for, but I was still unsure. Over the weekend, I thought about it again and changed my decision. Thinking about it on the weekend made me realize I agree with the second party more than the first. Today we went outside to vote. When we got to the voting area, I showed one of the girls at the voting station my identification card and she crossed out my name to mark I’ve voted. She handed me a ballot with the names of the candidates for each political party. I went to the voting tables and coloured in the box with the name of the candidate for the party i voted for. I put the ballot into a box that had all the votes then went back to class. That’s how i voted today.

(it’s long sorry)

Revised paragraph:
We researched beforehand about different political platforms, and noted how each political party deals with certain issues. I compared their promises and chose to vote the party that I agreed with most.
On voting day, we filled an identification card and showed them to the voting officers. They gave us a ballot and we voted for candidates at voting stations.

It's finally the Canada election! It was also not that easy to decide who to vote for because there were lots of advantages more than disadvantages! Then, I finally picked Political party to vote for and I wrote 3 reasons why I voted for the party. Each group had to pick 3 topics and my 3 topics were Child care, health care and jobs. Then I read the political platforms and also made notes about them. After, when it was our turn to vote, we had to fill our identification we went to the undercover area where we received our ballots and then we slipped our ballot in the ballot box.

It’s finally the Canada election! It was not that easy to decide who to vote for because there where lots of advantages more than disadvantages! We had to pick 3 topics and mine were Child care, health care and jobs. Then we read and made notes about the political platforms. We had to review are notes again and then we had to pick who to vote for. It was not really easy but I picked who I had to vote for. The political party which I had to vote for had decided their plan and it was written down clearly also they had clearly written how much they were going to donate to any child care. Most parties did not show how much the child care was going to cost or some parties did not even show that how their plan is going to work. So I found the political party I had to vote for. After I decided who to vote for, I had to write 3 reasons why I voted for that political party. Then when it was out turn to vote we got a little slip in which we had to fill our identity in. Then, our class went downstairs to the undercover area where there were 3 ballot boxes. We went to the table where they took our identification paper, and then we received our ballots in which we had to fill in our votes. Then after I did that, I slipped my vote in one of the ballot boxes. It was really fun voting!

I decided who to vote for by doing some research with my group on COVID recovery, health care, and climate change, which were the three issues that were most important to us. We looked at the different political platforms and what the different parties planned to do. After, we discussed our notes and I realized that one political party seemed to have the most realistic goals while not doing too little in two of our three note sheets, and the other parties' plans were either not realistic or too vague. That's what made me vote for them. When we were called down to go vote, we lined up and the people in the front told us which tables to go to. The people at the tables asked for our names and crossed them out on their paper to mark that we voted, then gave us a folded ballot. On the ballot, there was a list of all the candidates that we could vote for in our area, with their corresponding political parties. We had to go into one of the voting booths to mark which candidate we voted for, then we had to fold it so that no one saw our vote. We then put our folded ballot into one of the ballot boxes. That is the whole process of how I chose who to vote for and how I voted today!

Emily

This is my revision after reviewing the success criteria and doing a self assessment.

This is the entire voting process and how I decided which political party to vote for! First, I did some research with my group on COVID recovery, health care, and climate change. We decided that those three issues were the most important to us. Next, we discussed our notes and talked about which political parties were currently at the top and bottom of our list. After discussing, one party came out at the top of my list in two of our three issues. That made the majority, so I decided to vote for them. Before voting, we filled out a voter identification card with our name, class, birthday, and signature. We then walked outside to the undercover area, where we lined up and were told which table to go to by the two officers in the front. At those tables, we showed the people there our identification card so that they could mark that we had already voted and gave us a ballot. The ballot had all the candidates’ names that we could vote for in our area. We took the ballot over to one of the voting booths and marked who we were voting for. We then folded it up and put it into one of the voting boxes. I was very happy to be able to participate in the student vote!

Today, I participated in a nationwide, simulated Student Vote at my school. This imitated electoral process helped us learn about government, democracy, parties and elections, as well as a chance to experience the actual voting process.
Before the vote, my friends and I researched about the 4 main political parties (Liberal, Conservative, NDP, and Green), their political platforms, and their opinions on 3 issues that affected us the most (Covid-19 recovery, climate change, and housing). For Covid-19 recovery, we learned that the Liberals will extend the emergency wage subsidy to october, and the Canada recovery hiring program to march 31. They’ve also pledged to help the tourism industry with temporary wage and rent subsidy. For climate change, the Liberals planned to rise the carbon price and to cut greenhouse gases, but the Green party promised to ban all pipeline projects and tax imports from countries with weak climate policies. For housing, the Liberals promised to build, preserve, or repair lots of homes in four years, and the Conservatives vouched to ban foreign investors from buying homes in Canada.
After all this research, my friends and I each wrote which party we were about to vote for on a small piece of paper, and wrote three reasons why we would vote for them. Then we handed the paper in.
On election day, my friends and I filled out a “personal identification card” and went to the local “polling station” (which was in the undercover area) with the “personal identification card” and a pencil. The “staff” there checked off my name from the name list of our class, and gave me a ballot with all of the available candidates. Then I went to a voting booth, checked off my decision, and slipped my ballot into a box where they collected all the voting ballots.
This is how I made my decision on who to vote for, and voted.

Today, I had to fill out a identification card before voting. When my class and I got called down to vote, we went to the undercover area. Next, when it was my turn, I showed the identificator my ID slip, and then she gave me a ballot. Then, I went to the table with a lot of dividers. Today at school, we had a student vote. I, myself had voted a political party. I had voted for the NDP because of their political platform. How did I manage to choose who to vote for you ask? Well, during an assignment my teacher had assigned, we were required to read a post about what some of the parties had pledged. While reading, I noticed that I did not like the Green Party. (They were too focused on the environment and did not have much to offer for the people in general.) I also noticed that the Conservative Party did not offer as much as the other two parties left, NDP and Liberal, so I ended up crossing them out as a good option. So finally, I looked at the benefits from the two remaining parties and compared. Thus, I ended up choosing the NDP because they promised to not have any oil or gas pipelines.
Asides from that, at school we had to vote as if we were doing the real thing! Which was surprising and a new experience to say the least. We had to fill out a voter identification card, and needed to show it before we got a ballot to vote with. We had to walk to a booth to vote on our ballot, and I would just like to say. The names of the candidates were very unique and probably hard to pronounce! But moving back onto the main topic, we had officers and everything to make the experience more realistic. After we had voted, we went back to our class and resumed our work.

The way I decided which political party I am voting for is to read different party's political platforms. I read about covid recovery, climate change , and housing. I looked though what they will do about the issues and decided the party I would vote for. The leader of a political party is a canadate, and if the party is the government, the canadate would be the PRIME MINISTER. I checked the party I support on the ballot, and slide the ballot in the voting box.

I didnt have much difficulty choosing on who to vote as I read and understood 3 articles with my group and 3 other ones on my own as I was trying to make a desicion. My vote depended on the ammount of ideas the political party had on the issues, the best solutions behind them, and which ones I really agreed with and hoped for the country to achieve. A few days after I had completed the project, and put much thought into it, my classmates, students all across the country, and I participated in a student vote where we got called down to cross out which political party we thought should win the federal election and drop it in a box so it got counted and announced to compare on who the students and who the adults voted for. The student vote doesnt interfere with who the new prime minister will be.
That's how I voted today.

Today, our classroom got the opportunity to do a replica election. The fist step was to show our fake I.D. to the people running the student vote. My friends and I decided which political party to vote for by 3 political platforms, guns, jobs and healthcare. How I decided which political party to vote for was by seeing what political platform gave the better benefits on the topics I was looking into. I wanted to look into covid, jobs, and childcare. I saw which party I personally thought had the best ideas and benefits and voted for them. How we voted today was by making an Id and giving it to someone for a ballot to vote on. We then had to go to these booths to cast our votes without anyone seeing. I voted for the candidate that I wanted, folded it, and then handed it into a box. It was supposed to be like what the actual real voting is like.

This afternoon, my class had to vote for a candidate in our riding for a student vote, to see what political party would win with students voting instead of adults. Of course, our vote didn't matter to the actual election as we children aren't old enough to vote, but I still treated the student vote as a real vote. How I figured out who I was voting for was a little tough. While researching my topic for the worksheet we did last week, I skimmed through the other topics. I noticed interesting information about the parties' political platforms that changed my opinions on some of the parties, either in a good or bad way. For the party that I picked, I picked them because they were the one I agreed with most. How we voted is that we showed our voter ID and we got ballots to fill out. We went behind cardboard privacy screens and voted for the candidate from the party we wanted to win, then folded our ballots in a specific way and inserted them into the voting box. It was a simple process, but it's very important.

in school, I participated in a student vote. it wasn't that hard deciding which political party I was going to vote for. I did it by researching each party's pollical platforms and seeing what their visions and or hopes are for Canada mostly based on the couple main topics I wrote about last week and some other reasons I thought were important.
I made an identification card and got called down vote. When I got there they checked my indentation and directed me to a table where I got handed a ballot and I checked off which candidate I was going to vote for, I folded it up and put it in the box with the other votes. if you have the chance to participate in an actual vote you should so that you could at least try to have a say in government.

(sorry i could not get i done last night)

In school, I participated in a student vote. It wasn't that hard deciding which political party I was going to vote for. I did it by researching each party's pollical platform and seeing what their visions and or hopes are for Canada, mostly based on the couple main topics I wrote about last week and ideas they have that I believe in or want.
After that on a slip of paper I wrote 2-3 reasons supporting who I was going to vote for. After that I made an identification card and got called down vote. When I got there they checked my indentation and directed me to a table where I got handed a ballot and I checked off which candidate I was going to vote for, I folded it up and put it in the box with the other votes. if you have the chance to participate in an actual federal election you should so that you could at least try to have a say in government.

I decided which candidate I thought would be the smartest to vote for by mostly looking for as much research information that I could in the paragraphs it gave us for each section in each political platform. I wanted to choose the issues that I wanted to learn the most about what they promised to do to help it. I chose COVID recovery, guns, and climate change. After doing my research, I was debating between 2 political parties and I finally chose one, so we filled out our identification card and then went outside to vote, so we exchanged our slip for a ballot, put my decision and put it in the box and that’s pretty much it. It was fun to read through all they are wanting to do to see if I agreed with them and it was pretty fun to just we involved with the student vote.

Today we got to participate in the student vote to decide which political party we wanted to choose to become prime minister.
I decided which candidate I thought agreed with most of my beliefs to vote for, by looking in each paragraph for each political platform. I wanted to choose the issues that I wanted to learn the most about what they promised to do to help it. I chose COVID recovery, guns, and climate change.
After doing my research, I was debating between 2 political parties and I finally chose one, so we filled out our identification card and then went outside to vote, we exchanged our slip for a ballot, put my decision and put it in the box and that’s pretty much it.

This is how we voted at school for student vote. I chose the New Democrat party because they will address rising gun crime, they promise to bring universal pharmacare by 2022 for 10 billion dollars and they said they will create 1 million new jobs and they will make housing affordable. At school we voted by doing research on the political parties and their political platforms so we have an idea of who to vote for and then we made voting ids after that we went outside to line up. Next the officers took us to the tables and gave us ballots so we could vote for the candidates. That is how we did student vote at school.

This is why I voted for New Democrat for the school student vote. They promise to address rising gum crimes. They promise to bring universal pharmacare by 2022. There goal is to create over 1 million jobs and to invest in transit. The way we voted is by starting to make our identification voting cards. Then we walked around to the back of the school we’re the voting officers were then we showed them our identification voting cards and they gave us the ballot and then we picked who we wanted and put I it in the voting box. We voted for the New Democrat candidate with our ballot. So that’s why I voted for New Democrat.

When we were in school, we voted for who we wanted to be our government. We decided by researching each party’s political platform and the political party’s leader. Then the next day we started working on our own voting ID card. After that, when went down to the under cover, there were voting officers who looked at my voting ID and ticked my name off. Lastly, I voted for the candidate I wanted to be our government on a ballot and then slipped it in a ballot box. That’s all I did on Monday at the student vote.

Revised

I decided on what political party to vote for by reviewing their political platforms. The ones that I paid the attention to are guns, affordable housing, and health care. After reading all of them thoroughly, I decided on the party that I agreed with the most and got my voter ID ready. When it was finally time for our class, we went around the school to the voting booths I was handed a ballot, went to a booth, crossed out the party that agreed with, folded it, and slipped it into a box.
