Today we continued working on volleyball skills, carried on with fractions and decimals and then in the afternoon kept working on research inquiry skills.
1.) WORD WORK: Pretest and work analysis (click)

2.) MATH: Fractions and decimals worksheet (click)

3.)POST A RESPONSE:
  • Write a sentence for 8 word work words form this week
  • Make sure each sentence shows you understand the meaning of the word.
  • Read another students sentences and give them some feedback if the sentence does not show the words meaning.

For number 6, you could just say, "One of my sources of error was that I forgot to zero the scale when I weighed my slug."

Also, a spreadsheet is an electronic program, and we used paper (non-electronic) to write down our observations. You probably should have used spreadsheet in a different way, unless you're NOT talking about our ecosystems.

Have you ever been in an awkward siturarion and you have no idea what to do or say? I certainly have. But have you ever been in a silence so awkward, That You feel an urge to speak up? It feels like something twisting in your gut, or the air getting squeezed out of your lungs. The only relief would be to let your mouth say soemthjbg. Anything to make those feelings go away. Unforntusnly, the one thing that crosses your minds is to say something g stupid like “so how’s everyone doing?” Or “ you guys like playing….” And then plaster a grin on your friend while you feel a burning hatred for your mouth cuz it just doesn’t know when to shut it self. Following these kinds of words are always the same reactions. People looking at you all weird cuz you just made the situation 10x more awkward. Sometimes no one responds and then your becomes redder than a tomato. In the end I always get stuck between ether I should giggle like crazy, or punch myself in the guts. You jay think this is a dramatic reaction, but trust me, when your stuck in an awkward silence 24/7, and every time you mess it up by saying something ridiculous, you would be diss appointed in yourself too. Here’s an example.

A few days ago my class had pe. Mr fisher was dividing our class into four teams, two with boys, and two with girls. Not only did he separate me from all my friends, but my group would not say a word. Our side of the gym was so quite you could hear a pin drop. Bring the awkward and talkative person I am, I felt like the silence was a drill digging into my skull. For some reason my brain thought the only way to get rid of the feeling was to break the silence, so I did. “So how’s everyone doing? You guys like soccer?” I asked. The only responses I got were a few mumbled no’s, and a bunch of side eyed looks. I guess breaking silences isn’t my strong suit, because I haven’t changed at all in my past 12 years if living.

Meanings: Qualitative data measures quality. Quantitative data measures quantity. To elaborate is to plan. A hypothesis is a guess based on received information. A phenomenon is a situation known to exist. A diagram is an object you can use to represent something. An analysis is to examine something in detail. Evidence is data that supports a conclusion. Data is information. A spreadsheet is a grid that can be used for calculations. Horizontal is left and right. Vertical is up and down. An axis is a measurement of coordinates. A format is a way of doing something. A conclusion is a verdict. A source of error is inaccurate data in a measurement. Sentences: Most of the data we collected today was qualitative. Most of the data we collected today was quantitative. I elaborated and decided to sleep. My hypothesis is that ice is frozen H20. The Aurora Borealis is a spectacular natural phenomena. For the diagram, I used a ton of marshmallows. I analyzed that the shirt had green stripes, pink dots, and yellow buttons. All evidence supports that John commited the crime. My data shows that birds can't get electrocuted on power lines. Reviews show that Microsoft Excel is an excellent spreadsheet. I grow more horizontally than vertically(get the joke I'm 60 kgs lol). The crossword puzzle had only vertical words. The interception point of the x and y axis(the axes were not in the middle) was -5,2. The format was Times New Roman. We concluded that the snail died. The statement " Water cannot be found in a frozen state" was a source of error in our measurement.
