Today, Mr. Hong and I introduced the grade 7 students to the plant identification project. We reviewed big ideas and learning intentions of this assignment. Students learned that if we are to make this world a better place, we must first start locally by caring for our environment and this could have a significant impact on how we care of the environment on a global scale. We went for a walk in the community and selected leaf specimens from various local plants and trees. IMPORTANT: Please return all signed forms that went home in the brown envelope yesterday.
